Great Pace
1st time playing since reopened a couple years ago. Confusing turns after hole 1 with 2 tunnels across road thru abandoned 9, otherwise excellent greens, Fast and nice. Could use signage on other side of tunnel only marked on path but not very visible. Very dry so lots of roll out so played shorter than I expected from the white tees. Lots of hardpan under trees outside fairway, but mostly good grass in fairway and only slight rough. Were paired up with some nice beginner teens so had 4 players but moved swiftly except for ball search finished under 4 hrs no problem. I will play this course again and do better on short par 4's because I will understand where to hit so as not to run thru fairway.
Great course
Haven’t played here since highschool 2005.
This layout is nice and challenging. We played the tips and it was mostly difficult off the tee which was nice since you gotta lock in.
Greens were in great shape no complaints. Finished our round in 4 hours and that’s with playing behind some newer guys.
Practice facility is nice!
Awesome course
Greens are fast and well maintained. Layout was open and challenging. Cant wait to play the here again
6 holes
Unfortunately I was out on my own stuck between a number of 4 balls. Play was slow and there was no opportunity to join another group. I gave up after 6 holes. The course itself is OK but pathways etc., are in need of repair.
Nice course, but cramped front 9
Decent course, but the front 9 are crammed together. No restrooms throughout the course and play doesn’t take you by the clubhouse until hole 12.
Fairway
bunkers needed maintenance, there are no grass in some places on fairway. Car path need new concrete on some places
No Bathrooms after you leave the Clubhouse.
Overall Happy with our Round . Course is in good shape but a lil over priced. 250 for 2 golfers and no matter how unbusy the course may be You Will be paired up and good luck finding a rest room after you tee off at #1. Unless you want to drive allll the way back to the clubhouse. Look guys can hit the woods but women not as easy. Also If unfamiliar with the courses layout you will get confused or turned around due to lack of signs for directions. Hopefully these few issues will get some attention and corrected. I'll still play here again if im able to catch a Deal otherwise there are multiple courses with non of the above mentioned things for same price or less.
Incorrect Data on Garmin App
The course was fine, but they need to update their information with Garmin. The course was renovated a few years ago and changed from 27 holes to 18 holes. The golf carts have the correct geospatial data, but the course needs to update their new course survey data with Garmin. Lots of people use their phone/watch with Garmin data, and this is the only course in Houston I have come across that the data isn't current. Please fix and then I will come back to Longwood.
Average course
Course has a nice layout. For the price the course should be better. Greens were just OK…weeds
First Look at the New Longwood
Played Longwood for the first time since the redo. Although most of course is virtually the same in similar conditions as the last played it a couple of years ago, they did carve out some new holes near the end of the round. The new holes were very generous landing areas and relatively flat greens. 18 is a good finishing hole especially with two green complexes. The practice area is the biggest improvement by far, with a wide driving range and good short game area. Very pleased to see this. But overall, I was expecting the course to be a little better shape than it was. The greens were good, rolled true and fast but some of the outlying areas could use some TLC. But as the old saying goes... if you don't hit it out there then who cares! Good luck in the future with getting the course into top notch shape and I will return if a good Hot Deal comes along!
Overpriced
Overpriced. Also they made me share a golf kart with a random. This course is always the last leftover hot deal left for a reason,
