About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Jersey Meadows
Guys! Great course! My only issue was the geo-fenced golf carts. There are parts of the course that the cart simply shuts down on. It was a tad frustrating. I would recommend easing the geo-fencing, especially when you consider the Marshall was Johnny on the spot.
Lastly, I definitely recommend hitting the practice green. The greens were rolling at least 13 on the stimpmeter!
Friendly staff!
Beverage cart lady Alysia was all over the course hustling, I rarely see the beverage cart more than once or twice a round and she came by 3 times to take care of our group by hole 12-13! If she wasn’t leaving for the day she probably would’ve found us again. She was friendly and funny! Pro shop staff also very nice, course was a little dry and greens super fast but still a fun time on the course. I would recommend coming to Jersey Meadows and I will be back before I leave Houston.

Excellent course for the money, they have the carts on a timer, which works well. Most of the time one thing that they could improve on is when guys are playing a little slower at times they’ll be a hole or two in front of certain groups that play slow and they need to make sure that they keep those guys up to pace with the course rather than worrying about the timer on the cart aside from that great course great management Mario in the clubhouse excellent bartender
Be careful
Be careful. They make you stop playing when it is still light out. Marshall shuts you down fast. If I knew this, I would not have chosen this place. Greens are rough as well. Trimmed but rough

The course is in the best condition that I have ever seen, greens were perfect.
Skill building course
The layout is enjoyable - a mix of holes that challenge you (water hazards, narrowing fairways, bunkers in great shape) and other holes that give good scoring opportunities. Beware of the greens! I’ve played twice and each time they were fast and pin placement was protected by slopes falling away. In other words, a 4’ par putt and miss and become a 10’ + putt to save bogey. Play conservative on the greens and you should have a good round.

The course was in great shape. A little backed up in some holes, but nothing critical.
Great overall value
Great as always. Only issue we had was there was a group ahead of us who held us up all round. Marshal came out a few times but it seemed he was watching my group. The 4 guys ahead of us had no golf etiquette at all.
Slow play
No marshalling on course resulted in 5.5 hour round.
Good value
Course was in great condition and the pace was sufficient. Course was good all around.
