The course was good. We found an issue with finding snacks throughout the course. We also noticed some of the water hazards full of plastic debris.
Very Nice course
well laid out and moderately challenging, definitely easier than its North brethren which is also a great course
Some bare spots
COVID-19 guidelines being adhered to. Course in fair winter conditions. Bunch of bare spots on fairways. Greens running little slow. Cart girl came around once per 9. Since no water on course she’s a welcoming sight. Only got to 12 holes before my back locked up but 12 is better then 0.
Blackhorse South is in Good Shape
The south course along with its sister course is really green right now for late January, The course is in great shape from tee to green with the exception that the greens putted really slow in comparison to other local courses but they really held shots well. Had to fix divots on every green that I hit. Cart girl was visible at least 4 times during the round and the pace was excellent.
Christmas Eve round
The lady at check-in was wonderful and very informative & helpful for a 1st time visit. It was a tough day for golf with really cold weather & 20-25mph winds. Undeterred, I played the South course and found it to be challenging yet fair and really a lot of fun to play. The greens were fabulous, especially for the time of year. Can’t wait for a return visit once it’s a little warmer and less windy.
BlackHorse Firsttimer
Average to below average condition...greens nice, grass thin, tee boxes were poor with very little grass. Not as well conditioned as advertised. Golf Club of Houston much better for very comparable price.
Tough but good
Course was in excellent condition. Weather was great, we never had to wait to play a shot and the group behind us never had to wait for us. Some hard holes, challenging tee shots and tricky pin positions but a good day out.
Perfect Weather
Couldn't pick up a better day for golf. Greens were the best part of the course...They are in great shape..Unfortunately and due to the Covid-19 the Bunkers were not raked in the morning. Everything else just fantastic.
Too many leaves
The south source is too hard toI find your ball when not in the fairway. The leaves were ridiculously everywhere and very difficult track.

Worth the money
Course was in terrific condition considering the rain that had been received the prior 2 days.
Greens were fantastic, and other than standing water that the starter warned us about prior to teeing if, no complaints.
Layout was a great mix of hole types without being too penal, the closing stretch is the money shot though, we will be back to play the North course, and definitely the south again!
P.s. the bar makes a solid Transfusion.
One of the top courses in the area
Blackhorse South is one of the best courses in town. It's always in great shape. The greens were a touch slower than usual this time but certainly nothing to complain about. The back nine has a string of very cool, unique holes. 15, 16 and 17 are particularly nice around the water. There was no starter or marshal out on the course which wasn't a big deal because the pace was good but we didn't have a scorecard or a pin placement sheet which would've been nice. Overall, I'd highly recommend this course.
