Wicked Hot but Wicked Nice Golf
TPC Craig Ranch is a great track and golf club. Bag guys are very nice, pro shop staff are solid, starter is great, and the course is tough but fair. We tee'd off at 1:40 and I think the heat index was 297 degrees... The greens are in great condition. They're a lot slower than normal, but the course has to keep them a little fury to avoid killing the greens. Highly recommended track! I'm looking forward to attending the Byron Nelson in 2021, and to see how the course is set-up for the pros.
Good layout nice practice facilities
Great place to play very fair off the tee with wide fairways the bunkering is pro quality and the greens were true and fast
Typical TPC course - challenging
Good layout and in good shape. Played long the day we were there. Many forced carries off the tees. Wide open landing areas. Good sand in the bunkers. Greens were in great shape and ran fast. Typical TPC course of having good risk/reward on most shot options. Really enjoyed this one.
typical TPC quality, great course
this is a first class facility. great practice area, great clubhouse.
the conditions were excellent. greens were just the right amount of fast and very true. fairways were lush and well maintained. my only criticism is that the sprinklers were running off and on which led to quite a few soggy areas even though temperatures have been over 100 for a few weeks with no rain.
this is a challenging course, but there are some good scoring opportunities with a couple of really short par 4s and one short par 3. the par 5s are not super long, but are well protected and make good risk/reward holes.
we played the Players tees at about 6600 yds. if you play one tee box back you get some pretty great views on the boxes, but the carries are pretty tough.
would recommend this course for sure.
Great Experince
Not at all what I expected in a "TPC" but a great experience and and an excellent course none the less. If you get the chance, play it!
