Riviera Cancun Golf & Resorts

Amazing and friendly staff - excellent but challenging course. Pace of play was a little slow, but had a Sunday mid-morning tee time. Need accurate approach shots to score well. Would highly recommend. We’ll be back again!

The Good:

It is great that everything is all inclusive while on property. The greens rolled great with good speed. Layout is tough but very good.

The Bad:

There were no range balls when we showed up, once they did the balls were warped and probably 20 years old. The fairways were in bad shape and had burnt out and mud patches on every hole. Round was 5+ hours. The staff pulled the couple I was playing with off the 18th hole because the shuttle the course provided and scheduled was ready. Why couldn’t the shuttle wait 10 minutes for these people to finish their round?

I would have been very disappointed if I spent the full price to play this course especially after playing Mayakoba twice the week before (prices are similar)

Be prepared for lots of water and wild life !

A wonderful track set on the shore near the airport in Cancun . Nicolas layout. In awesome shape. Much water to consider . 135 slope from the whites.

Nice course. Better than rio tinto. Fairways good. Greens decent. Great scenery and wildlife. Fairly tight fairways and decent amount of water. Worth playing.

Nice course but avoid playing after rain. Staff is very friendly and pay attention to details!!

Great layout. Only real negative are the bunkers have a lot of rocks.

Had a great time among the iguanas and alligators. Course well designed. Greens were very firm and undulating. Lightning fast. Fairways were excellent. The service was plentiful and top notch. All food and drinks are included in the green fees. My only lament was not bringing my own clubs. For a course this tough you need every advantage. Would definitely play here again.

Tight fairways and a lot of undulating greens. You need to bring A game or a lot of golf balls. Lots of wildlife.

The course was in rely great condition. Fairway and greens was really up to par. Few bunkers is rocky buy over all wonderful course. Just to pack

Riviera Cancun has an excellent friendly staff that will make you feel right at home. Greens gave me the best putting I have ever had. Hit drives straight to well kept fairways, or bring extra balls, mangroves are thick. This all inclusive day kept us hydrated and the burger was great.

I’ve played here several times in the past few years and always enjoy it. The layout is great with lots of variety and strategy. Every person I encountered was fantastic - friendly and helpful. We went to Mayakoba the day before and both my friend and I agreed we like Riviera the best (although the conditioning at Mayakoba was impeccable). The course conditions at Riviera were above average although the greens were still recovering from aeration a couple of weeks ago so still a bit sandy. Try this course, you won’t be disappointed!

Fun, tight layout but was disappointed there was only 1 hole with a very small ocean view. And the greens seemed to have been punched recently so were very bumpy and sandy.

Staff was very nice and I loved the all inclusive feature, including alcohol.

It was also fun seeing a cioti (racoon-looking monkey), tons of iguanas and a few small alligators.
