The Golf Club at Dove Mountain - Saguaro/Tortolita
About
The Golf Club at Dove Mountain features 27 challenging holes that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Saguaro/Tortolita golf course is naturally named after its beautiful landscape of centuries-old Saguaro cacti nestled at the base of the Tortolita Mountain Range. The golf course meanders though desert washes covered in native flora and fauna. There are large greens that feature plenty of movement. The par-3 third hole on the Tortolita nine has the highest elevation of any at the golf club. There are also strategically placed fairway bunkers and a few forced carries.

Golfer Reviews
Premium course not in premium condition
This is a well-known, high-end, upper level premium golf course. They charge premium prices for the opportunity to play this course, and when presented in the premium country club condition that is expected is a joy to play. I have played it many times, but have never seen it in such poor condition. The front nine greens were covered in sand and small pebbles and had been punched sometime previously. I was not told about this when scheduling the teatime. Overall the course is as rough as I have ever seen it. Not nearly the premium golf experience as the greens fees would demand. When I commented to staff about my displeasure, they told me that they had been shorthanded of maintenance personnel and that during Covid times they have been full virtually all of the time so it was the best they could do. It is of course a beautiful layout, amazing green complexes, very well placed hazards and a challenge to play, it was just not the experience I thought that I was paying for.
Beautiful, but very challenging greens
After a few holes you understand why so many profesdional tournaments were held here and also why they are no longer. The greens are very tough and three or four putts will not be uncommon, even for good golfers.
Great course!
Great course and very challenging! Very good conditions but sand traps were needing more sand in them. Also, I lost my 60 degree wedge there but not sure which hole it was and had the feeling the employees didn’t really care much if I lost it not. I left my information at the finishing are but don’t expect anyone to reach out to me.
Love this place
I love this golf course. The staff is always friends and the course is always in great condition. Speed of play is crazy!! I got all 18 done in about 3 hours. When they have all 3 courses available, there is no better spot to go to.
Fantastic course, fun layout
Loved this mountain course, nice wide fairways and greens in excellent shape. Seems like bunkers placed on many holes just in range of your tee shots as is typical of this course designer. Saw lots of wildlife on the course as well. A great golf outing. Teed off at 2pm and was done in 4 hours.
Played Saguaro and Tortolita courses.
Great scenic course
Great Course but very challenging if you are not on your best game. Tough greens but overall a very good place to play. Seems to play longer than the yardage indicates.
