Best course in the area
Course was in good shape for this time of year it's a good lay out and for $30 via golfnow it's a must play if you are in the area. My current concern is that I hear has been sold to a group of private individuals (40). I hope they don't raise the green fees or that they decide not to continue partnering with GOLFNOW. I can't afford $60 green fees.
November golf
Had friends in for a week of golf. Played 5 courses this was the 3rd best. Greens were good, fairways were ok. Course is getting better.
good course
this was a nice course.. we arrived early and had lunch.. it was good. we started our round about 45 min early and we only seen one couple pretty much the whole time we were there.3.5 hour round. the staff was very nice. definitely would play here again
Small Craft Warnings
Play here 3-4 times per month....love the course. It's very challenging from the blues. I especially like the lush fairways...ball sits up great for iron & fairway wood play. Tees & greens are very good also, but the fairways are what sets it apart. The wind always blows here, so you just have to keep from making a "big" number somewhere. The wind was blowing about 30. It's my favorite course in the whole "valley".
Every year
My father-in-law and I play here on our annual family vacation to the island. The course during the week is really great for pace of play. We finished 18 in about 3 hours and played another 9 just because.
The greens are soft, so you can be very aggressive in your approach shot for sure.
Be sure you have plenty of water and cold towels as it can get hot on the back 9 away from the bay side.
Overall a great round. We will return for sure!
This course has a challenging layout from the back tees.
Course conditions are good and the greens are consistent and accept full shots well. Be sure to pack mosquito spray as the area has been getting rain. The course bunkers are getting new sand as well. Overall enjoyed playing and was able to complete the round in 2 hours.
Very windy day, played as a single on Monday, but really enjoyed the course and pace of play. Will be back
Average course
''This is the only course I have played near SPI, so I cannot compare it to other courses in the area. The course was average, but I only paid $35. The fairways were generous, but bare in spots. The greens were good, but very flat, no undulations. The were some nice views of the bay on the front nine. Overall, a good experience, but nothing special.
