About
Set along the Rio Grande River, this is a scenic course with spectacular views. The front nine was built in 1987, and the back nine followed in 1992. The highlight of the course is what is perhaps the longest water hazard in Texas, the Rio Grande River, which flows along holes 5 through 13 on the left side of the fairway.
Narrow fairways and grass bunkers make the course tough, especially when the wind is howling, as it is tough to hit the small, firm greens. Water is everywhere. No. 14 is the only hole without water. The par 3 17th hole, with its island greens, headlines a series of demanding par 3 holes. The last hole plays 434 yards into the wind and has out-of-bounds on either side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Harlingen take Hwy. 77 south. When you come to Hwy. 802 turn right, then continue until you reach Hwy 281. Turn right again and drive approximately 2.5 miles to the course

Border wall coming...
For the money you can't beat it, it's a good layout. But it's about to get remodeled, due to the course being right next to the US Mexico border, the construction of the border wall will start soon which is going to modify sone of the holes, so call before you go.
Green condition
Overall green is fair.
Solid course
Solid course, great value. Scenic views. It’s always a treat. A couple of silly holes. Some homes are very close to the fairways, so it’s pretty tight track. There’s also a par four they turned into a par 3 bc they want to keep building more homes. I hope they stop the expansion, invest in the course, and preserve the original layout. The golf carts also need updated.
Best in Brownsville
Always a fun time. Great fairways compared to anywhere else in Brownsville. The course itself self always feels fresher than the temperature says and theirs plenty of shade along cart paths to park the carts.
GREAT GOLF COURSE & AMAZING STAFF
As soon as I arrived at the course, the pro shop attendant was very welcoming. Helped me with some questions that I had. It was my sisters and I first time at this course and we will definitely be back. The course is beautiful specially hole number 17.
Bad greens
The grass that was growing would make your ball bounce all over the place.

Great staff and good course layout
Had fun playing. More water than most courses in the area. Fairway conditions average; greens below average due to clumps of grass making the greens uneven.
Needs better maintenance crew
This is my third year visiting the area from Colorado. This is the worse condition I’ve seen the course. Tee boxes and greens need to be completely reworked. Tee boxes are hard and very little grass. The greens are infected with clumps of poana grass which makes putting like a pinball game. Maybe next year they will improve the course.
Terrible
The course was in terrible condition.not much grass and many bare dirt areas. The cart I had was ready to fall apart,
