South Padre Island Golf Club - 9 Holes Course

By far the nicest course within 70 miles. However, that doesn’t mean it’s a great course. Greens are in pretty good shape but fairways and tee boxes need some work. Most sand traps are just fine dirt instead of sand.

I noticed the tee boxes looked a lot nicer than last time I played at this course. Everything was very well maintained.

Lacking water coolers and ball cleaners. Overall a good course, some challenging greens.

I’ve been playing this course for over 10 years when I go to SPI for family vacations. Some of the greens are in very bad shape, like the green on the first hole, it has fungus patches that makes putting almost impossible. Some fairways were too muddy, and without car paths on all holes, it made it complicated to move around. I almost got my cart stuck on #7 on the right side of the fairway. Bathrooms on the #4 were locked. This course needs car paths. Small bucket of range balls 7 dollars - too expensive. At least they now have electric carts (they used to have gas carts) Overall, good course but for the price (green fee was +80 dlls with taxes) it needs attention.

I loved the layout of the course. Conditions were a bit rough on several holes. Very scenic on a couple holes. A bit overpriced for twilight play.

Nice course that is very nice alongside the ocean, you could pay much more for this type of experience but well worth the 50 or so I was seeing this listed for most days, good conditions, fun place, good bar to eat/drink at afterwards and they have a nice range.

Course was in good shape. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great views on the holes by the bay. Like the natural layout of the land with the native plants and trees caught a good day with not too much wind, so it was very enjoyable thank you for an excellent experience.
