WestRidge Golf Course
About
WestRidge Golf Course is a unique Jeff Brauer design that features a user-friendly layout. The design tips out at a standard-looking 7,041 yards, however its combination of six par 3s (none over water), six par 4s, and six par 5s is far from normal. Brauer incorporated deep bunkers, natural areas, and lakes to accompany the huge, undulating greens that await hacks who become lazy after getting home in regulation. Other than the unique hole combination, WestRidge Golf Course's drive-able par 4s (nos. 1 and 13) are notable during the summer months because they play downwind and are good birdie opportunities.

Course conditions and pace of play not worth the value of high green fees
The pace of play was super slow. We had to wait several minutes to hit almost every shot and there were 4 groups backed up on several holes throughout the round. They stack way too many tee times together and need to space them out especially with the course having 6 par 3's.
The fairways were in pretty good shape overall, but the greens were not. Very bumpy and do not roll good at all. Seems to be a different type of grasses(weeds) on the greens making it very difficult to get a true roll. If you want to get a sense of how the greens our go check out their practice green because the course is pretty much that bad.
The course is way overpriced for the pace of play and conditions and nowhere worth the cost. Will not be playing this course in the future or recommended it to friends. Way to many courses in the area that are way more affordable.
Don’t use golf now too book here
They charged me extra at the course, paid way too much to play.
Love the course! But, they told me not to use golf now to book a team time. I basically got double charged which sucks because I think this course is awesome,
If you like rude staff and poor management this is your course
Took 4 hours to play nine holes. Waited 5-10 mins per tee box. Staff is rude, poorly managed golf course. 100 bucks to play and 20 dollars for a bucket of balls. Plus wait in line for the range. Chipping area is a joke!
Much better courses in McKinney and surrounding area. Don’t waste your time hear.
Great shape. Amazing greens
Course was in great shape. Supper fast greens which I loved. We will be adding this to our monthly play list
Could’ve been GREAT
This had all the potential to be a 5/5 all the way around but when the round takes 5+ hours and you pay $100+ you just can’t justify anything higher than a 3*
Great course
Really nice course, greens were in great shape. Pace of play however was horrible.
We teed off at 12:30 pm on a Sunday. We were a group of 3. They added a 4th to our group and started us off at hole 10 for a round of 18. It was that backed up that they needed to do this.
Total time for 18 was 5.5 hrs.
I can't stand when courses over book!! That's simply not an enjoyable experience.
Course is good but I think that it’s overpriced
The concept of six par 5’s, six par 4’s and six par 3’s is great but the course is overpriced and the staff is somewhat biased against people of color
First time out on WestRidge and had a blast!
We go out early on a Saturday and finished right at 4 hours which was awesome considering it was all foursomes in front of us. Conditions were really good too! Having never played the course but hearing about the pace of play and conditions sometimes being spotty I was prepared for the worst but was happily surprised by both! Good time and will be back for sure when I’m in town.
Good day
Excellent and friendly staff , very good to accommodate and manage the players, specially for last minutes booking . Course in good shape.
Good day
Course in a pretty good shape, pace of play excellent and a friendly staff.
Great conditions
The pace was excellent and the course was in good shape.
A little pricey, but a good track!
Living in the Garland Firewheel area, I'm used to more affordable prices on green fees however, I have to admit, this is one of the better courses you can play . A challenging, but fair track. The greens are tough but roll true.
A lot of construction going on, but is good to see that they're using the money to improve the property. I recommend this course to anyone who likes golf.
Good shape for March
I was happy with amount of green grass on course for early March
Avoid this course!
The course is in very bad shape. For the amount they charge to play this course it should atleast be playable. Beware of playing this course. The second you get on the course you will immediately realize it was a bad mistake. There are plenty of great courses to play in North Dallas. This course is NOT one of them. To top it off, as crappy as the course is, the management and staff are equally as crappy.
