Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf Club
About
Spring Valley is the realization of the late, great Texan Vernon A. Roland, who grew up on the land, served the country in World War II, and became a successful businessman by running Houston's Roland Cleaners. A man who knew the land intimately, he originally purchased the land to run a sawmill but then he fell in love with the great game of golf, which inspired him to build this charming little 9-holer.
Roland opened this par-34, executive-like track in 1993 amid the tranquil beauty around Spring Creek. Roland's course is fun, sporting five par 4s well under 300 yards, three short-iron-only par 3s, and a reachable par 5 as the opening hole, which also happens to be the number one handicap.
Getting there : From Houston take I-45 north to FM 2920, then turn left under the freeway. Take 2920 to Rhodes Rd. and turn left on Spring Stuebner. Gosling road is ahead, where you'll turn right and drive 3 miles to the course.

Spring Valley Golf Club
Enjoyable 9 Hole Course -Par 3/4 enables use of clubs & great way to spend Sunday morning with Son.
Very easy to get through with no wait.
Course has a policy of cart path only regardless of the weather. This is not needed at all . Normal 90 degree rule should be adopted in dry conditions.
Terrible condition of greens and facility
Greens are non existent, fairways narrow and overall distance very short. Can play the whole course with 3 clubs. Extremely slow pace every time ive played here. Not enough carts. Wont let you play 18 holes on weekend even if you want to because they "need the cart turned in" spend the extra money and play somewhere else. Not worth it.
Fun
Cool folks, great for beginners but nice layout too.
Relaxing
Great place to play to just kick back and relax. Greens are terrible, but the rest of the course is decent. Set expectations low and just relax and have fun. It’ll be great.
Perfect 9 Hole Course
Great course to play. 9 holes with challenges. Played alone 1.5hrs. No thrills, just good ole golf. Great for beginners, no rush or delay on pace of play.
Only For Practice Course
If you’re looking for a quick PRACTICE round ONLY then and are a beginner golfer, then go ahead and get out to Spring Valley but course conditions are not good and pace of play is rough due to everyone learning how to golf. No warm either, you get your clubs and begin swinging on first hole. Disc golfers get in the way too. Just know this is primarily a disc golf facility with golf course as added plus. Good luck!
A great place for 9, or 18
Life is busy and I can’t always play on the weekends. This is a great place to get 9 in under 2 hours or play it twice in under 3. Yes, the greens could be better. But they don’t claim to be a country club. It’s a place I can 1) afford to play and 2) have the time to play at least twice a week.
Fun course
Great for working on irons and wedge game. Good value for beginners
A good place to get away
Haters can hate, but this is a good place to sneak in 9 holes. Fairways in general shape. Greens are getting better. Can’t beat the pace of play. Have played this twice and both well best two hours. I’m going back, again, and again, and again.
Goat Pasture
This place reminds me of Melrose par 3 course. They want to charge $20 or more for only 9 holes. I would say this place is worthy of about $10-15 for a complete 18 holes (playing the 9 twice). This might be a good place to take your kids and teach them the game, or to play disc golf. This place is not for real golfers though. Also, the guy that runs the place is a complete A-hole.
