Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf Club
About
Spring Valley is the realization of the late, great Texan Vernon A. Roland, who grew up on the land, served the country in World War II, and became a successful businessman by running Houston's Roland Cleaners. A man who knew the land intimately, he originally purchased the land to run a sawmill but then he fell in love with the great game of golf, which inspired him to build this charming little 9-holer.
Roland opened this par-34, executive-like track in 1993 amid the tranquil beauty around Spring Creek. Roland's course is fun, sporting five par 4s well under 300 yards, three short-iron-only par 3s, and a reachable par 5 as the opening hole, which also happens to be the number one handicap.
Getting there : From Houston take I-45 north to FM 2920, then turn left under the freeway. Take 2920 to Rhodes Rd. and turn left on Spring Stuebner. Gosling road is ahead, where you'll turn right and drive 3 miles to the course.

Simple course
If your looking for something quick and don’t want to be rushed, this is a great place to get a game in.
This course has poor conditions
Greens were horrible. Almost all the time was it very hard to put the tee. Rules are that you can't put carts on the golf course (which I agree), but it's already in poor conditions in the first place. I do recognize the price is on the low side and the staff is very friendly.
Great place to practice instead of hitting a bucket of balls.
Great place to warm up your game
Need to hit a few balls before going to a fancy course? Only have 2 hours and want to get out for a quick 9? Have a kid who has trouble getting rushed around a primo course? Need some time outdoors? This is perfect. Honestly, the course condition isn’t great, and greens need a lot of work. I see them working on it so hopefully will get fixed - and the price is right!
Cheap is key
The course conditions are poor. The tee boxes are similar to hitting in the rough on other courses. The greens are unplayable. It cost $12 so you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a cheap option to get out of the house in north Houston this is a place for you.
Disc golf is definitely their priority.
Spring valley
The course is fun to play, but you might have to wait to tee off as disc golf also runs some holes through the golf course and the fairways are well maintained but some of the greens but use some work
Low end
This is a low end course most of the greens are unplayable and the fairways are below average
But if you want a short course for low cost it fits the bill
Good Value
Coarse was good, the greens was a little sandy but was still playable. When ask about the condition of the course was informed soon the golf course wouldn't be there and would just be the disk course For the owner has sold part of back half a company that's making a walkway to connect to the Woodlands, and it will only be a Disk Golf only course..
9 Hole course in Spring, Tx
Good Place to play and practice. Pay for 18 holes with cart. $27
Great People
Staff is awesome Jim always is super nice to me. Course needs a lot of work, it has great potential but greens are sandy and patchy, fairways are not lush and tee boxes are abused. They have scrambles on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s don’t go when those are going on because they play too many players at once and don’t let you play through until you are on top of them and they will even keep playing as you hit an approach shot. Almost seems like they think they own the gold course. I love spring valley because it’s a cheap course and I can get some practice for a quick nine holes by my self.
first time
Interesting course. dual play with frisbee golf, which seems to be the focus. Cart path only with some extremely wet spots, even in the fairway. Tight, short course with mounded, sanded greens which were marginal, but it is early in the season. Staff was nice, carts worked. No rakes by the traps, no sand in the divot fill jars on the carts. Seems like course care is secondary...
Get what you pay for.
Nice staff. The 4 star rating on google is not warranted.
First Time
Didn't expect much, but my girlfriend and I had much fun... conditions weren't great, weather was rainy at times, fun factor still high... will be back and recommend to friends...
Friendly & fun staff
Great staff went out of the way to assist my 10 year old grandson either golf tee selection for his tee collection by providing us a box of tees from which he could pick special Logo tees. The pace of golf play was excellent as they had a Disc golf tournament on the same day. The first three holes required some maintenance upgrades as the greens where in just okay shape for a late November 2019 round. Overall an outstanding place to play with children to improve their golf game.
$10 round
You’ll get what you pay for, but a great place to take beginners who don’t want to burn cash and lose balls. Normal tee times are closer to $20 but $10 for 9 holes isn’t terrible. Fairways have gotten better since I’ve been here last but the greens might hurt your putting game extremely inconsistent.
