Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf Club
About
Spring Valley is the realization of the late, great Texan Vernon A. Roland, who grew up on the land, served the country in World War II, and became a successful businessman by running Houston's Roland Cleaners. A man who knew the land intimately, he originally purchased the land to run a sawmill but then he fell in love with the great game of golf, which inspired him to build this charming little 9-holer.
Roland opened this par-34, executive-like track in 1993 amid the tranquil beauty around Spring Creek. Roland's course is fun, sporting five par 4s well under 300 yards, three short-iron-only par 3s, and a reachable par 5 as the opening hole, which also happens to be the number one handicap.
Getting there : From Houston take I-45 north to FM 2920, then turn left under the freeway. Take 2920 to Rhodes Rd. and turn left on Spring Stuebner. Gosling road is ahead, where you'll turn right and drive 3 miles to the course.

Exactly what you wiuld expect for the $$
This place is a good place to practice. Fairways were in terrible cindition but greens werent bad at all. Plus the super cheap beer prices helped a tin! Ill be back fornsure!!
Sure it needs work, but it’s still fun
This is one of the only nine hole courses in the Houston area. The conditions of the course are pretty bad, with uneven and patchy greens and a fair amount of bald spots. However, the layout itself is great for beginners. It’s a short course that any experience golfer could birdie almost every hole. They’ve got a great beer selection in the clubhouse. It’s nice to have the disc golf course around. If you’re looking for a fancy course, don’t come here. If you’re looking for a pretty cheap way to practice your skills or learn the game, this place is perfect.
Great for beginners; could use some work
This is one of the only nine holes courses in the Houston area. It certainly could use some more upkeep; the course conditions are questionable. The greens are slow, sandy, and unpredictable. However, it’s a great little layout and reasonable cost. $13-$18 for walking. Lots of beginners and folks just hacking around. Serious golfers could birdie every hole since they’re all wicked short. If you know what you’re getting into and don’t have high course expectations, then it’s a lot of fun. Good beer selection, too!
Bang for your Buck!
I am just starting to pick up golf again and I took two first timers (32Y.O. and 11Y.O.) We paid a total of $75 for 18 holes (they only have 9, you play twice), 2 carts, 1 club set rental and 6 drinks (4 alcohol). I found this course to be perfect for where we all are in getting our fundamentals. It is not a top end course at all but if your looking to keep or reestablish your fundamentals this is a great place to do that.

Nice little track
Great for families and ones just starting golf
Greens are horrible but course is in a nice wooded area
No Maintenance
If you enjoying playing on a course where the fairways are not maintained and the greens have more sand on them than Galveston beach then this place is for you. Upside its cheap.
Spring Valley
Value for money course. Tough because it’s got along bushes and trees. Great practice for iron clubs. Still would recommend anyone who just want to play for a couple of hours. We enjoyed it!
Best golf course for the price
This is the best golf course for what you pay for. Had a lot of fun for a 15handy. Fairways and greens are not great, but perfect for any handicap.
Love it!
Close to the house and challenging. Every hole has character...love it. Will be back..often.
