Texarkana Golf Ranch

About
Set along the shores of beautiful Bringle Lake, the Texarkana Golf Ranch is one of the best new courses in the state, and some say the nation. With its thick forests, lush fairways, and significant elevation changes, this pristine course offers a peaceful golf experience for unbelievably affordable prices. Since the course was carved out of the natural East Texas terrain, they didn’t have to move much dirt–the low construction costs are passed on to the golfing public.
The design spreads out over 300-plus acres that could have easily supported the development of 36 holes. Instead there are only 18 holes, most of which are not adjacent; this means that you’ll typically never see another group on the course.
You might even spy a celebrity or two. Those fortunate enough to attend the grand opening were able to attend a clinic from PGA Professional and Haney prodigy Mark O'Meara. Later that day you could also compete against him in the tournament that kicked off the course's grand opening
The beauty here is unparalleled; every hole appears to be the signature hole. On the front Nos. 4 and 8 stand out a bit more than the others. No. 4 is the only hole where Bringle Lake is not visible, but because it features over 50 feet of elevation change over its 472 yards, it’s one of the most spectacular holes.
No. 8 is almost comical, playing a devilish 666 yards from the tee–it’s a double dogleg that requires two perfect shots to be in position to reach the green in regulation. Wayward approaches carom off the slopes beside the green, and ups and downs are not guaranteed.
The three finishing holes leave you drooling for more. No. 16 is over 500 yards and requires a tee shot over a lake into a tight landing area. The second shot is a lay-up into a sloping fairway. It can be impossible to get it close with the short approach because the green is perhaps the most undulating on the course.
The beautiful No. 17 plays 214 yards on a long plateau beside the lake, and the spectacular ender plays 425 yards through the tall pines. It’s tough to get the tee shot in the fairway because of the numerous bunkers, and especially because of the funky green. Surrounded by bunkers, this strange green is often a sure three-putt because the front slopes left to right, while the back does just the opposite.
Getting there : Take the Richmond Rd. exit north off of I-30, then turn right on Scott Wright Rd.

Worth the drive!
Hank Haney - Texas A & M Texarkana course. Fairly tight. Tee boxes need major attention but the greens are speedy and with lots of undulations. A very scenic course with beautiful rolling fairways and breathtaking lake views on the back nine.
Nice greens and Fairways
Wish there were marshalls to monitor speed of play but overall nice course
Best public course in the area
When comparing the other public courses it’s not even close. The fairways look like they are out of a brochure whereas the other pubs in the area look like my backyard. Traps are always raked and fluffy. Greens can be hard to get down speed wise but I’ve never seen any brown spots. Course is definitely harder than any other pub in the area but they are beautifully laid out. The staff is always super friendly. Best pub course in the area by far!
Great course for the price
Great course! Played for $18 during the week through GolfNow and enjoyed it! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Challenging but fun course
Course was very good. Fairways need some sunshine to bring out the Bermuda. Greens were perfect. Definitely will play it again
Nice Course
Course a good challenge. Greens in very good shape. A couple of blind shots.
TXK Golf Ranch
Great layout, very fun to play, challenging from blue tees, really difficult from the back tees.
Course is beautiful with a very scenic back 9 playing along side a lake. Fairways are in very good conditions. Greens are beautiful but very very very slow. Overall a nice course just need to speed up greens
BEAUTIFUL layout....HORRIBLE greens!
BEAUTIFUL layout....HORRIBLE greens!
These other reviewers must have played a different course! Again, this was one of the most beautiful course layouts that I have ever seen! At least the back 9 is, layed out around a lake and is Very pretty!
But the greens are absolutely awful! They are a patchwork of some grass, no grass and a couple of spots with nice grass! To Bad.... this layout is awesome!!!
very nice layout
Really nice course, sometimes there is a log jam on the course. Greens are good & fairways look nice.
Great Course!
Course was in great condition. Staff was very friendly. I look forward to playing it again.
It is a great course to play
I have played this course a few times. I wanted to bring a friend of mine and he was really impressed. The course is very challenging and each hole brings a challenge. I love to play this course because it is well maintained and the greens looked great.it is a beautiful golf course. I would recommend it and I do recommend it to anyone that wants a challenging day of golf.
Great course! Everyone should play here!
Great course! Well maintained! Challenging course but definitely worth playing. Greens and fairways are in great shape!
challenging course wirh friendly staff
Played Dec 24th so not too crowded. Layout is fun and challenging.many holes don't have cart paths so you can get turned around some. Probably looks great in the spring and fall. Overall I would recommend it.

pretty and challenging course
rolling course with tree lined fairways and several holes with water. Cart paths are mostly unpaved and uneven which is a big minus to an otherwise outstanding course.
