Oeste Ranch Golf Course

About
One of Weatherford’s newest residential developments, Oeste Ranch is open for public play right now, but eventually has plans to become private once the memberships have been filled. The course opened for play in late 2002 with a Steve Mrak-designed course that runs through a myriad of creeks, ponds, and lakes. Mrak ingeniously slated his No. 13 as an “unlucky” 250-yard par 3. From the tips, the course plays 7,100 yards to a par 72.
Getting there : The course is 1.5 miles north of I-20 on FM5/Milkus Rd.

Rude staff, mid course
The course itself isn’t that bad but nothing super special either. All employees seemed like they had an attitude or having a bad day. I was newer to golf when we first played and accidentally drove on the fairway with my cart onto a cart path only day on hole 1. A super rude guy came up and YELLED at us to stop(I’m 30). I called back months later to book a tee time and they said we could not take carts out because of what happened. I told the pro shop guy what happened months ago and he had the audacity to tell me I am lying. There is a reason this is the only course with tee times available last minute on the weekends. There are so many other nice courses in the Fort Worth area with very friendly staff. Go to rockwood instead.
Score big or small
Keep it in play and score low. Hazards are lurking to shoot you in the foot!
