Worth The Drive From Houston
This course is a little drive. But it’s an opportunity to play a course that gives lots of opportunities to score with iron and wedge play. Surprisingly nice and affordable practice facilities and the greens were in surprisingly good condition even though I played on a soggy day. My wife and I enjoyed our 9 holes that we played here and are looking forward to returning. Since this course is so out of the way it’s normally pretty open and pace of play allowed me time to walk my wife through etiquette rules and other things as we played. We enjoyed our day date and the place had what appeared to be new carts. Definitely enjoyed it out there. Great, affordable place to play with lots of scoring opportunities if you can place an accurate wedge or short iron shot. The course is not a long course at all, but it gives you opportunities to work on approaches and putting. I feel like the lack of distance allows the staff to put more effort into keeping the greens nice. Which is actually the most important part of a golf course to me.
Relaxing
A relaxing 9 hole course. Very good course to work on iron play. Greens were for the most part in good conditions. There were a few with some rough spots on the edge of the green. Overall, solid round
Nice Par 3 course
I really enjoy playing this course. Since I’ve been introduced
to it I try and play there as much as I can
This is great course for beginners, seniors and couples
This is great course for beginners, seniors and couples relaxing with a round.
Small course not worth the $40
One of those small 9 hole courses. But I can’t find a reason why it’s $40. A couple of greens have dry sandy patches, the “fairway” is barely visible. I can find a a bunch par 72 courses that’s cheaper, better quality and offers more amenities than West Brazos. Maybe worth $20 on a good day.
Looks that kill
Rarely have I ever felt uncomfortable at a place. Looks killed, like I didn’t belong. Race being a factor. Then they didn’t want to offer the deal for 18 holes. Not going back.
This is a par 3 course.
This course is a par 3 course. It doesn’t say that anywhere in their website or any time during check out/paying. I drove an hour to get there and was disappointed when I arrived. 2 of the 9 holes are par 4 so it technically can be left out of the description. I guess shame on me for not looking at google maps.
