The Atchafalaya at Idlewild

Course was in very good shape considering all the rain we had these past few weeks...good to see grass growing thicker in the fairways... had a blast....

This place is great and it's just a shame it isn't closer to civilization but it's always worth the trip. Course wasn't perfect but still it was a great round. Hole #6 got me again, but I gotta learn to just lay up. Enjoyed it again and can't wait to get back.

Great practice, club house, restaurant, and course layout. One of the prettiest, and interesting courses in the state.

Overall the course is in good shape. I played after a couple days of heavy rain and in general the course took the water well. The only real complaint we had was the maintenance staff did not display basic etiquette. They were either oblivious to our presence or just didn't care.

I have only played twice but truly enjoyed both times. This time I brought my mother in law and my wife to eat lunch. The food was delicious I had the lunch special and it was just like home cooking. The staff in the restaurant and pro shop are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I even join the association and will play many more times even if it is a 50 minute drive to get here.

This is truly a Louisiana Cajun hospitality and a hidden gem of the Audubon Trail.

Although physically challenged because of recent surgeries, I find this course to be both a bit hard and also fair. You get in plenty of trouble when you hit a bad shot, but get rewarded when you hit a good one.

Course had been water logged for a few days. The only thing that I could critique is the amount of white mushrooms all over the course. This makes identifying a ball from a mushroom very time consuming and will eventually slow down the pace of play.

The rain had just passed through, prior to teeing off on the first hole. The course drainage was exceptional.

The staff inside of the clubhouse could be a little more friendly. Ordering food and/or drink seemed to bother them for some reason.

Course is beautiful and very challenging. Fun for golfers of all skill sets. Scenery is absolutely incredible.

I've played this course several times and my only complaint is with some of the players golf etiquette. On multiple occasions we were having to wait behind larger groups that would not let you play through. Other than that great course.
