If I were Golf Now I'd cancel my contractual relationship with Sable Springs. First of all, the guy at the pro shop couldn't have been more unwelcoming and rude. Upon entering the pro shop
the guy says "Are you golf now golfer?".
I said "yes".
he says "show me your confirmation number!".
I said ""What? I have no idea what the confirmation number is, I've played 200 times with golf now no one has every asked me to produce a confirmation no".
He says "I need your confirmation number or you can't play here".
He made me go thru my phone until I produced the number..
He then says "There are 3 of you golf now golfers and you MUST play together". I said "OK".
BTW there was no one and I mean no one on the golf course on a Saturday at 11:47am in SW Florida!!!
I then met a golf now golfer named "cat" who was very nice. We went to the 1st tee with no one around at all and I teed it up at 11:47am our tee time.
The guys runs out of the pro shop and yells: "You MUST wait for the other golf now golfer".
my partner says "What????, It's 11:47am our tee time why do we have to wait for the other guy? I never heard of such a thing!!".
The pro shop guys says "You MUST give him 10 more minutes"..
We gave he 3 mins and then we teed off.
The pro shop guy collars from afar "Wait for him now!".
We waited another 4 or 5 mins and then drove the cart off since we had teed off, no one was on this course.
The course was really bad too..
My partner says to me on the first green "I'm never playing here again". I said "me too!".
like i said If I were Golf Now I'd cancel my contractual relationship with Sable Springs.!!
Beautiful Course!
Too much water for me. I lost a ball every time. Also, I'm not used to so many 3 par under 100 yds.
Tight
For an executive course, it is well maintained. Greens and tee boxes in good shape. Narrow fairways with lots of water.
Strange days indeed...
Excellent conditions. Extremely narrow course. Only one bathroom on the entire links-style course - (unacceptable), and no water station - (if you don't bring your own beverages then you must purchase bottled water or Gatorade in the pro shop before you tee off). Also, strange that they are freakishly rigid about wearing a mask in the pro shop, but claim that COVID restrictions have been lifted for golf in Florida and consequently all single golfers must share a cart with whoever they pair you up with. According to the pro shop rep, they'll be putting the rakes back out and expecting everyone to use the flags again beginning next week.YIKES! There must be a different news network in North fort Myers because from what I've read, the pandemic isn't over and they're even saying that we may see a second resurgence. I had a great time but I won't be (a) risking my life to golf here as a single during the pandemic, or (b) ruining my bladder to golf here either. Strange days indeed.
Great little course
Played this through golf now. Got a really good price for a fun and challenging course. Looking forward to playing it again
Feels like a course going under
Late February in Fort Myers Florida is prime time for snowbirds who want to golf, but Sabal Springs was nearly empty. Few cars in the parking lot. One guy trying to run the pro shop and wash golf carts.
Nice bar and restaurant is closed.
Feels like foreclosure is knocking on the door.
Narrow with lots of water
Beautiful course. Amazing price for Florida in season golf. Friendliest clubhouse dude we’ve experienced this year. Playing the back tees (blue and white) require experience and precision or you’ll come away with many fewer balls. We played gold for rewarding irons practice. Will come again for sure.
Water and houses
This course has water everywhere , often on both sides of the fairways. Speaking of fairways, they’re lined with houses too close to the course. If you’re playing army golf, forget it. Left right and into a house. It was not my favorite round. Unless you are a pinpoint golfer, I’d suggest going elsewhere
