Golfer Reviews
Staying in Cape San Blas for vacation. This was the only place to get a round of golf in. Had a blast! Good little layout and the people were friendly! Will definitely be back! Tees & Greens!
Go fly a kite
The wind was definitely the key to every shot, even on the greens. The fairways had a lot of bare spots as did the greens. The ball still rolled pretty true on the greens. For the money it was still a good buy.
Great Layout
The layout make play enjoyable. The greens were heavily sanded making putting a challenge. Nice well stocked restaurant.
Played here several years and the improvements have made a difference. Greens were a little slow but overall great day
Greens need work
The course needs work; cart paths need work. For the price you pay (117.00 for 2 with tax) the course should be in better condition.
Outstanding improvements
The course was in 100% better shape than the last time I played there.
Driving range and putting green were great additions.
Not Great, Not Terrible
Only course reasonably close to Mexico Beach / Port St. Joe / Apalachicola - $50 for 18 holes. Overall layout was enjoyable, I can tell in its peak conditions this is a really fun course to play. Challenging but relatively easy to score. Carts were soaked for the 8:30 tee time, had to wipe down top to bottom. The course’s fairways have been verticut start to finish and the green’s are newly punched and are dangerously slow, I’m talking stopping downhill slow. Bunkers were well kept. Again, in peak conditions or even above average conditions I’d say this is a great track for anybody to come and enjoy. Tight fairways, fun layout. Gets a 3/5 from me for current conditions, again you’re paying $50 for coastal golf you can’t complain too much.
Beautiful Course
The course was in immaculate condition. The greens rolled true, the fairways and rough (spent a lot of time there) were well cut. Looking forward to playing it again on our next visit to Cape San Blas.
Just Ok
The course itself was fine, some construction. The main issue was the rental clubs. I was traveling and didn’t have my clubs with me, so I rented some so I could play. I’m not sure exactly what I was charged for the rental clubs but I believe the price was around $50. I wouldn’t have paid that much to keep the clubs had they been listed on Facebook marketplace. The newest club in the bag was probably from about 2018 and just absolutely beat into the ground. For other club rentals I have gotten before for around the same price you get something fairly new, so it was a little disappointing in that aspect. I still enjoyed playing the course but if I were to do it again I would want it to be with my own clubs. All of the staff was very friendly.
