Greens terrible, overall Below average

Very nice ladies working the desk in the morning. Only nice thing I can say. For $50 you get greens that are more sand than grass, very thin fairways and tee boxes. Only advantage they have is an hours drive to the next golf course, which is far superior to this one.

Golf is Great Anywhere

Enjoyed this course many a time during my stay on Cape San Blas. The staff made it extra without even trying. Bonus plan achieved with St Joseph Bay!

Way overpriced for what you get

I played this course before so I knew it wasn't anything special. A pretty generic layout and a small town beach course. Having said that the price was fifty bucks for 18 holes which I think is extremely high knowing the course. On top of that the course was in horrible condition. Most of the greens were covered with a fungus or some kind of virus and some greens had gigantic craters in them 2 or 3 in deep from whatever it was. It was impossible to even put on some greens they were so bad. You couldn't even find a line that had grass all the way to the hole. Definitely Andover price course but also the only option in that small area. Hello I would drive to Panama City and play a nice course if I did it over again. For the same money too.

Horrible experience

First of all I have played this course before and in general know what type of course it is. It is a very tight short Beach course so I really don't expect c a TPC level Golf Course. Now, having said this $50 to play that type of course is way too much money in my opinion. It was a once-a-year thing with my dad though so I decided to spend the money. The course was in horrendous conditions. Half of the greens were not only covered with sand but had craters in them from something. I heard it was nematodes. The greens and fringes were absolutely horrendous on half of the holes. Considering the rest of the course is nothing special the fact that this was $50 was ridiculous. The only upside is the people were extremely friendly and always are but that doesn't make a course worth $50 in my opinion. No way they should have been charging that. Course should be discounted down to 30 at most. Next time I would drive to Panama City and play a much nicer course there for about the same money.

Overpriced and Slow

Tees off before lunch on a Tuesday. Took over 2 hours to play 8 holes. Ended up jumping back to number 2 and playing the front again. Tee boxes and in incredibly poor shape. No flat lies to be found. Fairways were actually decent, and the greens were mostly sand but rolled true. For the price ($40), it is way overpriced. Layout is also very plain.

Terrible conditions

I'm not sure if this was hurricane damage or not, but the course was in horrible condition. The front nine was fair, but the back nine was almost unplayable. A few of the tee boxes were totally dirt. No grass. There was a par three on the back nine that had what I think was a temporary green that looked more like rough with a hole. I liked the layout of the course and would come back and play if the conditions were better, but as is, I would have played a different course. The price was too high for the conditions I experienced.

Slowest greens ever !

Course needs some serious attention. Weeds everywhere. It's ok if you want to work on your driving and irons. Forget about putting. Greens are very slow.

Could have been OK, but....

I picked this course because it was on my way from one city to another. I called in the morning to ask about availability and was told no problem. Not until I arrived was I told that the greens had been punched last week and not mowed for 5 days. They were awful. Not mentioned at all was that most of the tee boxes were in terrible shape as well. And, also not mentioned, was any kind of discount for the inconvenience. I feel they had an obligation to inform me when I called. If I had known all that I would have gone elsewhere. That said, this is probably a reasonably interesting course when in condition. I just wish they had been more forthcoming with me.
