The Golf Club At Oxford Greens

Solid course for the money conditions always good to very good but they need to upgrade the carts to electric and add GPS to help first time players there keep their wits. Also need a starter (last 3 times played there no starter). Also no ranger to be seen. This week we were a 4some teeing off mid morning on a weekday. Had a 2some come right up on us on the 3rd hole (if starter there he could have had them go out before us it was wide open), then a single comes along, then another, then another 2some, absolutely ridiculous course management. Our round turned into 5+ hours having to wait and let these players through. Totally ruined the day. They need to get this straightened out or they’ll lose players to other courses where the groups are managed properly. We won’t be going back for a while.

I watched this course decline over the past few years. They just 'let it go' and it is a shame. Oxford on the mend, but conditions not greatly improved. Tee boxes need a lot of work. As do cart paths. Rest of the course 'okay' but does not warrant $100.

It needs some work. I would never pay $100 to play it.

I really like the course , but I found many divots in fairways and nobody replacing ,, and some of the T boxes were a little beat up

I would play again !

Have played this course numerous times in the past. First time this year. Greens were full of ball marks and bumps and what looks like fungus in some spots.. Cart path only which should have been a few holes that are traditionally wet but NOT the entire course. This added to the slow play but when you are consistent waiting 3-5 minutes to hit a shot and high heat amd humidity it makes for a long day. Would normally recommend this course but not after playing it yesterday.

Also can someone explain why courses don’t put water out anymore. Especially on a 90+ degree-70+ humidity day?

I know it was November golf but the greens were fast and unreadable .... WHOA !!! and the aerated spots all over the course did not help but it is still in great shape.

Leaves all over the greens. No, one will fix wall marks when you leave leaves on the green. They don’t care then so now you ruin your greens. Tee boxes were not put in place. passing from number 5 to 6 there was a Maintenance guy laying back on the Teebox looking at his phone until they pulled up up to him and then he started moving again. Serious problems in maintenance. It reflects on the whole golf course. The staff in the pro shop are very nice but it’s a bummer. My grandfather was a superintendent. I’ve worked in the industry and it was really a shame because it’s my local course.

Nice Lay-out, tee boxes were choppy and not level, course is in good shape, nice design, they do need a starter to set groups up properly. Will play again.
