Fairfax Golf Club

I hadn't played Fairfax before, so I had no idea what I was in store for. I booked through GolfNow and got a tremendous hot deal that included cart for $10. The course has a lot of water, narrow fairways, tough greens, etc. Bring your A game if you expect to score.

From the tips there is a 650 yard par 5... a 512 yard par 4.... so yah, don't play the tips unless you have a LOT of distance off the tee.

Cant wait until the fairways turn green again. Fun course.

Overall course condition was only fair, partly due to time of year, but the greens, in general, need a lot of improvement.
There is abundant construction underway coursewide and should bode well for the future.

Lots of construction going on, so 2 or 3 holes were using temporary tee boxes - not a big deal. It's March, and the fairways were still brown and thin - but overall this was a good golf experience.

Unfortunately, there was major construction which changed tee boxes on four holes and shortened 3 par 4's to par 3. Greens had been punched and sanded last week which gave an overall impression of poor conditioning.

Staff is very helpful and awesome when it comes to customer service

Great variety of shots needed and plays very different in different conditions. Although lots of construction going on it is still one of my favorites to play in city area.

With the neighborhood construction spilling onto the course, it's dilapidated features and quirkey layout, Fairfax is good for practice, bad for actual golf.

Course was in pretty good shape considering it's mid- january. They really need to complete the construction all around the clubhouse, as it's a major eyesore, and an inconvenience to get around to the 1st tee. A little overpriced, but thanks to golfnow, is affordable thru them. Would highly recommend this course, over and over. A definite for any golfer, especially for the first timers. Staff could stand to be a little more friendly, but not rude. Will return in the near future.

The course presents a good test of golf skills. You must know where to put the ball to score well. The first tiime you play this course you can expect to shoot at least 5 to 10 strokes higher than normal. Overall it is a great course and once you know how to play it there are scoring chances. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I would not only recomend this course again but will drive the hour and a half from my home to play it again.

course itself is not in perfect shape but ok. problem area of this course is rude attitude toward golfers who made online discount purchase thru your company. I will never play this course again despite proximity to where i live. management should pay attention to how the mean young staff at the counter treats online customers. i will tell people to avoid this course.

Staff was friendly. The course has some interesting holes, and the greens were in good condition. There were some very thin/bare patches in the fairway. For the value paid, was happy, but would have been disappointed a bit paying full rack rate.

this course is under construction,so expect to be delayed by equipment moving across the course to make room for more housing in the middle of the course

I really enjoyed this course. The greens were firm and fairly fast, and the pins were in challenging locations. I will definitely play this course again.

Greens are fast and bumpy with a LOT of unfixed divots and other markings.
