Lame!
This course if for wedding goers. Ok for short game but not a "real golf course" - more like mini golf. No carts, could not even do a full swing.....good if you are only up for practicing chipping & putting. Leave your other clubs at home....only need pitching wedge, sand wedge and putter. Won't be back....the grass was over a foot tall in the rough areas.....and sewer smell around hole 8. Not worth the cheap fee. Only positive, no one else in front of us or behind....no wonder. bet they sucker you once and no one returns.
Truly Chip and Putt
I'd never played at Eagle Landing before and was expecting more of an executive par 3. I think the longest hole was only about 80 yards. I need work on my short game so it was fine, but my sand wedge was more club than I needed. Course was in pretty good shape and greens were good.
Fun pitch and putt
Eagle landing is a pitch and putt, but there are some fun really fun holes (lots of elevation changes, hitting up/down, etc.). Yardages ranges from maybe 40 yards to 90 yards. Nice sand traps and grass was well watered. Greens were in decent condition given the current drought, but there were a couple tee boxes that were pretty burnt out.
Almost nobody else was out when I went (early afternoon).
Great course!
Always the most friendly! Especially David. He was mowing, but stopped to help me out. Thanks a lot!
it was a pretty good par 3 course
I enjoyed playing par 3 course, but i do like a regular course alot better. I did golf here once in awhile before
Nice inexpensive par 3
Lush green course can be very soggy in places - some overwatering in places. Too many holes were in the 50 yd range - prefer a better variety of distances.
Great for practcise
This course is great for short game practice. 27 holes of par 3's..up hill and down. Staff very friendly..
Short and sweet
Family and friends fun. A good course to start out on for anybody to sharpen your game. Friendly workers and peaceful up on the course.
Nice start to the year
First time out this year. Greens were sanded a week prior.
Really nice and quiet par 3 course
Love this course at Eagles Landing. I have been taking my 9 yr old there for years. Pretty and quiet location. Really never too busy where you have to wait on others to play. Great for short game and excellent for kids. There are 27 holes and you can play them all or change it up to make it more challenging.
Highly recommend to anyone and always do!
Short game skills increased
First off, understand this is a par 3 only course with its longest tees being around 80 yards and as short as 40 yards. But it is hands down the best way to boost your short game skills in 90 min. I got a little confused by the map on the scorecard as there is a short 9 hole course in the back but the full 18 (which I paid for) is in the front. Despite being short game only, the holes are all well maintained and greens are very nice. Great short game challenge and fun competition with your buddies. Good deal thru golfnow.com. Takes about an hour and a half for the 18 hole course and is an easy walk.
Great short game training!
This is a great short game training course, nicely maintained and well worth the hot deal golfnow price. Don't expect an actual par 3 course because the holes are predominantly around 50-70 yards with one or two at around 90.
Holes are a little packed together so careful of other golfers who might be in your way when you blade that flop shot :)
Fun course
The course has some very soggy areas and it would of been nice that the water coolers had ice cold water instead of warm water but it is always a fun course to play to work on the 60-70 yard wedge shot. I don't think the course is worth the price they charge unless you are getting a discount as I could play some long 18 hole course for the same price. The course is unique and I will be back soon. I found the people very nice and very courteous as they would stop the ground keeping equipment whenever we were going to swing the club.
Short game Course
The holes range in distance from 40 to 75 yards. Greens were in excellent condition. Great place to fine tune wedges.
This course has great short game practice.
Eagle Landing is a great course to hone your short game skills. Each hole requires placement and precision in order to par the holes. Your short-game will definitely be challenged.
Definitely recommend to build confidence for short game or introduce someone new to golf as well.
Perfect course for kids. Good to work on short game.
Perfect course for kids. Good to work on short game.
Great short game practice!
Eagle Landing has 27 holes, none of which are longer than 90 yards - and it's a great place to work on your short game.
If you think that 40, 50, 70 yard shots aren't challenging, you've never been to this course. There are elevation changes on many holes from tee to green, the greens themselves have levels of their own, and the pin placements can be sneaky-nasty.
I loved the 50+ yard 4th hole on the South 9. It's all downhill from the elevated tee, and the flag was on the upper tier (the front) of the green, but only 18" or so from the sudden drop to the lower tier that is the back of the green. That's how you learn distance control!
The 6th hole on the South is completely different: It measures 70 yards on the card, but it is all uphill to a green laid behind a hill that includes two bunkers that swallow shots that fail to reach the green - which is slanted left to right. Plus there is a large pine tree on the left that interferes with fades, and the day I played the hole was cut only 8 feet from the left (higher) edge.
The tee areas were well maintained given that the golf season is just starting around here, and the greens were in excellent shape. They only have a handful of pull-carts (they didn't charge me for use of one), but since you normally need only 3 or 4 clubs, a light carry/practice bag is the most you'll want. I saw regulars just carry 3 clubs in hand.
After playing 36 holes so far, I carry only 8I (for bump-'n-runs), SW, 60° and putter.
I'll be heading back there every few weeks to keep my short game tight, especially since you can play all 27 holes for roughly 75 cents/hole through GolfNow, which is a heckuva bargain.
Hilly ... nice view ...
Fun pitch-n-putt! Great opportunity to get in some practice and maybe even stay dry!
All you need is a pitching wedge & putter!
Great little course but the person running it started me off on the wrong tee-box which made the scoring confusing. There are 27 holes, all of which can be hit with a pitching wedge. Course seemed to be well maintained and greens in good shape. I shot a 6 over par 60 (played 18 holes). Would recommend it to others.
