Seminole Lake Country Club
About
Seminole Lake Country Club offers a landscape that is lush with native Florida vegetation and wildlife, including a family of American Bald Eagles that have made the golf course home. Formerly known as Cunningham Point, the club has been around since the 1930s. Scenic views of Long Bayou complement the enjoyable round of classic Florida golf. The course is challenging but playable with sand and water hazards coming into play on nearly every hole. The versatile golf course has been host to legends like Arnold Palmer but with five sets of tees it is approachable for a wide range of skill levels. In addition to the golf course, Seminole Lake is equipped with a driving range, short game practice area with a bunker, and two putting greens.

Nice course in surprisingly good shape.
When I showed up I was afraid course would not be much fun as it looked a little rough. Once I actually got to practice green and first tee my first impression was very wrong. Practice green was fast and while I did not use it the pitching area looked to be in great shape. Range was closed due to heavy rains which was an issue on few holes but over all not to bad. Tee boxes where in great shape and the fairway was excellent to hit from. Even though it was a little wet still was able to hit nice shots with no drastic change in condition from one hole to the next. Greens did have some bare spots but pins where places far away from them. Some bunkers had standing water but others had nice fluffy sugar sand to hit out of. I will play this course again.
Very good except for the locals!
I truly enjoyed the course and experience. Why I didn't give 5 stars was due to the people that live on the golf course.
1) A young girl was driving all around the course in a golf cart. I was afraid to hit her.
2) One guy was just taking balls out of a pond.
3) Another guy was hitting golf balls onto one of the greens of an actual hole during play like it was his own practice green.
4) People were walking dogs and walking all over the course.
I would never become a member here because it would not make me happy that all these people treat the course like their own private park or playground.
A nice delight
This course is in great shape. The staff is friendly and the paceof play is surprisingly fast.
All Around Good Round
Nice layout in great shape. Paspalum greens are firm on landing but not quick; interesting combo. Course is tight with doglegs and sand. Some water including shallow trenches crossing fairways. Snack bar rather disorganized; need to grab & go! Masks even just to sign in. Tepid fountains only on course. No drink cart til back 9. Would play again.
Course has improved but the Members ruined day!
Hadn’t played at Seminole Lake country club since I was in high school and it has really improved since then. A great layout and a great test of golf. However, the members that were playing behind us ruined the back nine for us. Unfortunately paying $150 a month makes you think that you are entitled like you’re a member at Augusta National. I love the golf course but will not be back because the members are snobs.
Decent track
The course was well-maintained and in good condition. Greens were pretty decent. Not fast but not slow. It's a very tiny area of land so all of the holes are right on top of each other which isn't super appealing to me. Also, there was no starter and there were players playing fivesomes on the course. Two fivesomes actually. All & all though it's a nice little course and worth a try if you've never played it as long as you get a decent deal. Oh, and the course itself is a short track but has some tight drives and second shots. Good test of golf if you don't always hit it straight.
Great place to play
Played Seminole Lake Country Club today on Father's Day., The course was in great condition both fairways and greens were well manicured. Staff was friendly tee time was 2:07 pm and we actually started at 2:15 but there were spot of people playing today. We had to wait on a two some that were playing from the back tees that really had no business playing from those tee boxes. But it took t hours to play 18 because of the restrictions levied because of COVID 19. I really enjoy playing this course when I can, I do highly recommend playing this course.
Review
A very nice course, well maintained, perfect greens,. and not too much water, but plenty of sand. Enjoyable to play and would recommend it to anyone....from beginner to pro!!
Always Nice Greens
This course always has nice greens that are rolling quick. I really like the course and it is a short drive from my house but the reason I rated the course layout low is because this course is totally designed from people who play a left to right ball flight. Almost every hole is left to right and I play a right to left draw so it definitely makes it challenging to be in good position off the tee. If you right handed and hit a big fade/slice then you will love this course.
