Course is worth paying $60-75 range, WAY overpriced if you are paying more for the conditions and layout. It has improved, over the last year and half, but still overpriced.
This could seriously be one of the best courses in Tennessee if they started putting in the same effort on the course as they did on the new clubhouse and hired a course marshal to enforce pace of play…… Pretty embarrassing this was a US open qualifying site last year
Not at its best
I’ve played this course before when it was in phenomenal condition, which made this visit pretty disappointing—especially for $90+. There was a significant amount of maintenance going on throughout the course, which clearly impacted the overall experience.
The greens were the biggest issue—extremely slow and appeared not to have been mowed recently. It just wasn’t playing anywhere near the level I’ve come to expect here.
I know this course can be excellent, but right now it’s simply not in that kind of shape. Hopefully conditions improve soon.
Great course
Always enjoy playing Towee, and impressed with the continual upgrades to the course. Greens are in great shape, always a fun track to negotiate !!
Terrible Pace of Play and No Parking
The pace of play was terrible. Over 5 hours to complete 18. Not a course Marshall anywhere in sight to help push things along either.
Also, arrived 30 minutes before my tee time and couldn’t find a spot to park anywhere at the course. Took me 20 minutes just to find a spot so I wasn’t able to warm up before my round.
Both of these are unacceptable for a golf course, and both should easily be controlled by management.
Great Potential
I love that the course seems to be investing recently. The clubhouse, restaurant specifically, is outstanding, beautiful, and a must do either pre/post, or even just going there without playing golf.
The course needs to be tended to, but to be fair the weather has been horrible thus far this year and it's only February. However, if they keep it up, it'll be great.
Just watch the price and don't let them get too high.
Great course overall
Pace was great. Very fun and challenging holes. Staff was very friendly.
Golfing Monday
Good course, couple bad turns on our part finding holes but fun time.
Towhee is solid
To be as hot as it currently is, Towhee is a solid golf course. For the most part, the greens and fairways are in great shape. A few tee boxes need some attention but that is minor. The range continues to be the worst part of this course. If Towhee can get the range up to par then this will be one of the best public courses in Middle TN
Not so great
Greens were ok. Fairways are very tightly cut .
Definitely not a manicured course. Very ragged everywhere but down the middle. Played on Sunday and pace was so slow. Wouldn’t pay more than $50 to play here. Pro shop and restaurant were good .

Very nice layout, great staff Paid senior rate $72.00 . Would play again
Greens are punched
You should be notified as soon as you select the course, that the greens have been punched. Instead, I drive an hour to the course and get told this after I've paid full price. Not okay.
Fun course
Starter got my wife and I out solo and, though, it was hot and busy, the round was 10 min ahead of schedule. Newish facilities are great and the course is in great shape. Fun course.

Any course who isn’t publishing that the greens are punched should be ashamed. It’s sinful.
