Great Improvements
I have played this course many many times in the past. Seeing all of the improvements that have been made thus far and getting a glimpse into the improvements that will be coming later, I am so happy to see that this course is finally having its heyday. If you haven’t played it yet get out and play it.
Will be a great place to play.
The course is a good challenging fun course. The first problem is the price. $70 for a at most $45 round. The last problem is the greens they are by far the hardest greens I have ever played, a simple 5 ft putt goes 10ft pass.
Great Conditions
Slow play started on #5 so we called it quits on #6. Other than that which can be expected for a long weekend I will definitely play again
Course is in great shape but……
1) course is in good shape, greens are fast leave the ball below the hole!!
2)pace of play slow at times but the bridge in franklin is worse.
3) without a doubt this course has done a 180 from past ownership. However the cost being $80 for a weekend round is severely over priced.
Final thoughts : this course is a $35-40 week day $50 -55 weekend rate course.
Stop over charging people if you want gain their loyalty!! I don’t want Tohee to turn into Franklin Bridge who over charges and under delivers. I drive 20 miles to Tohee even though I live in Franklin, but your high pricing will be forcing us locals to drive to Murfreesboro, Lewisburg to afford to play the game we all love.
I appreciate the hard work being done to bring this course back to the early days and better conditions
Much improved
The course has greatly improved and is in great shape. Greens are excellent, fairways in nice shape and tee boxes are well maintained. Can't wait to play again.
Onwards And Upwards
Played here for the first time last summer. New owners are making the course something special. Course has been brought from terrible shape to excellent shape and the new facilities being built look really exciting. Best yet, the bridge over the creek at 18 has been rebuilt!
Trending in the right direction.
You can see the effort being put into the overhaul of the course. The ongoing course renovation/construction is out of the way and has no effect on play. Fairways are lush and not burnt out. Greens are a little sandy but roll true(slightly on the fast side). If you don’t hit greens, plenty of up-and-down scenarios await you around the greens(tight lies, thick rough, uneven lies, water/hazards/bunkers). Undulating greens can make these up-and-downs quite the challenge, especially on the par 5’s. If you like par 3’s, there are six(short, medium and long). Finally, the overall diversity of the hole shapes/lengths make for a very pleasurable experience.
getting better
the course continues to improve with care and attention.
Good and hopefully better in the future
This course has come a long way in the past few years, but still has a ways to go. The course was in good shape but the construction all around the course is distracting and unsightly. Green Fees seem a bit high for the experience, but I’ll give them another try in the future.
What a hot mess.
It would have been helpful to know that the entire front 9 was shut down when booking my tee time. Why was the front nine shut down you ask? Great question! Because they decided to aerate the greens…..on a holiday weekend….then not tell anyone but still allow the same amount of golfers on the course. I had a 1010 tee time but I didn’t tee off till 1050 because I had to wait for three groups of four to make the turn. They had golfers so jammed up that I played as a 6some and still had to wait on tee boxes. I really hope this horrible decision making isn’t a sign of what to expect out of the new owners/management of thatcourse.
Much improved
When Warrior owned the club they completely let it go. The new Bobby Jones ownership has radically cleaned up the course. New greens, removed some traps, cut down some trees and lots of messy greenery. Fairways in the best shape in years. Still in transition but they’ve started the construction for a new clubhouse and restaurant as well as enter venues. Definitely on the right track. I’ll be going back.
Great experience
Challenging course for average distance ball strikers. Course conditions were solid and greens perfect with great roll and extremely well maintained. New to the area and thrilled to find this gem!
Look forward to completion of the née club house to complete the experience.
