Towee Time
Really enjoy playing this course. Greens are in great shape. Looking forward to bermuda fairways greening up as the lies are rather tight right now !!
Nice Course
Always love playing this course. Looking forward to the fairways greening up !! Greens in very nice shape !!
Very good greens!
Course in typical winter conditions, greens, however, were excellent. In addition, driving range open!
Overpriced and pushed the locals out
I’m done with this course. Management only cares about catering to the rich and fratty.
They delete any negative FB or Instagram posts or reviews. Just shows their complete disregard for customer service. Just read the other reviews here. Brantley does nothing to address legitimate complaints.
This is not a course for the locals. They’ve raised their players pass from $95 in 2021 to $400 in 2024. What a rip off. No matter what they tell you, you will not save money buying the players card. It is statistically improbable for most people.
The staff, except Chris, are rude. They just want you to pay and go off on your way. Most of the time they have a bad attitude.
The online tee time prices are deceptive and the online prices will not be honored, if you bring it up in person. I once found an online late afternoon tee time for $35 and when I went in person and asked how much it would be, they looked at me like I was crazy and told me their standard rate is $55. And they told me that I was wrong when it was on their website that it would be $35. Do not expect them to honor online prices in person at the pro shop. They will ONLY honor it if you reserve the time on the website.
Also the pricing. Morning prices are $85 for 18… I’ve played at PGA tournament courses for half that price. Even the latest tee times at 6:30 pm are $55. Complete money grab. You may get through just 3 holes based on how slow play is here and the fact that there’s only an hour of light left out. They knowingly do this and even states online that there will be no refunds. Deceptive and unethical. Even if it’s pouring rain and no one is out there, they’ll want full price. They claim to use “dynamic pricing” based on demand but might as well just call it “full price” all year round.
Also this place has extremely poor communication. They never announce if there is a tournament and the course and driving range are closed. You typically find out after you get there.
Make Chris the GM. He’s the only one with any customer service acumen.
Stay clear of this place. Go to Pillow Springs in Columbia, Vinny’s links in Nashville, or Henry Hortons. Might as well drive down to Huntsville and play 18 at the airport course. It’s $23 and you can walk.

A New Favorite
Friends have been telling me about this golf course for a while but with it being 85 miles from me it is somewhat of an adventure to get to play it. Well I am very glad that I did. The clubhouse is modern, yet on the inside still very classy and has a wide array of higher end merchandise. The restaurant and bar is absolutely beautiful on the inside and I could imagine people would really enjoy sitting outside during the warmer months. The price was a little expensive for winter golf for my taste, but everyone has told me it is worth it so I gave it a try ($65). That price is on par with places like Hermitage and Gaylord for this time of year, so the expectations are very high.
The course itself was absolutely beautiful, they had a massive practice putting area with 10-15 pins scattered about and a huge driving range with decent range balls. The course has an absolutely amazing layout and was in perfect condition for December. The tee boxes were well manicured. The fairways still had some bounce to them and the rough was penalizing but not excruciating. The greens were lightning fast, which I LOVE, and they rolled true and really made you value being below the hole. Most of the pin placements I thought were a tad aggressive for winter golf as well as the tee-boxes on some holes i especially thought could have been moved up a little bit (one of the par 3's was playing almost 240 yards). But the pins were overall very rewarding if you know the golf course. Luckily for me I was playing with 2 individuals who knew the course very well and probably saved me 4-5 shots throughout the round. Golf carts are nice, well maintained, but GPS would've been nice.
My only word of advice if you play this golf course, make sure you have a rangefinder, not many markers on the ground in the fairways. Overall, this course is well worth the drive and a pretty good value for the money.
Better in the Spring and Summer
Great course for the price we got from GolfNow. Paid twice that last time. 2:00 tee time was not early enough to finish 18. We got in 15
Great course
Absolutely love this place. From the course to the staff always a great time.
Towhee golf
Excellent greens. Really good hole design will definitely play again. Would like to play in summer time when fairways are green
Greens
Fast greens pin placement was tough if you were above the hole. Loved the course
Played on 11/5
Love the layout of towhee but it’s definitely overpriced for the course condition and what you get. Greens are great. Adding GPS to carts and making tee boxes better would justify it. Played courses for less than Towhee that have these features. If owners keep high prices, the “newness effect” of Towhee will wear off eventually.
The course layout is great and the staff seems to be good as well. Nice clubhouse. My issue with your course is the price for what you get. $85 to play golf on a course with no beverage cart, no water on the course, no real bathrooms, and the yardage markers are nonexistent. No GPS in the carts either. The tee boxes need to be scrapped and leveled out from scratch. A teeing ground is supposed to be pristine and flat. The tee boxes are mostly sloping from right to left and some have dips as big as 6-10" in them. Too much money for what you get and it is such a shame because the you have the makings of a wonderful facility.
Thank you for reviewing us, Ben236. We see you rated the course 3-stars and are interested in learning what we can do to improve before your next round. Feel free to comment on this review or reach out to the team in the golf shop. We always appreciate the feedback. Thank you for playing Towhee Club, and we hope to see you again soon.
Staff
While we were on hole 9 one of our groups drives went into the fairway on hole 1. We waited for the individual who was teeing off on hole one to hit his drive. Then we approached the fairway to hit shot. The individual came driving up in cart and was rude and cussing us for being in fairway on 1. He threatened us saying he worked there and would have us thrown off. Needless to say we went on about our game. We play here often and never have been treated as this individual treated us.
We sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had with one of our staff members. We appreciate your feedback and will address this issue to ensure it does not happen again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Would have been great to know it was freshly aerated and sanded
This course is great and always in good condition. Was just annoying to find out while walking onto the first green that they were aerated and sanded that day and day before. No mention online or in pro shop.
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Towhee Club.
