Great course
I highly recommend this course. It's challenging, but fair. It's a beautiful course to play. The greens putt well, but have too many unrepaired divots.
Love the course greens are a little rough
I absolutely love the course layout and undulating fairways and greens.
Many greens a little spotty meaning bare spots.
We hit a wall on the back around 14 in terms of speed of play.
I could play here every day.
Foxford in nice shape
Greens were a tad bumpy but had good speed. Rough was very long due to all the recent rains. Foxford is always worth a play a couple of times a year....a very fun and interesting track with some very large greens and good challenges. We had a nice day.....would not pay more than $40 max to play here so seek out a hot deal! Golfvisions has done a nice job maintaining this course...lots of sand traps to keep smooth..
Foxford Hills 2014
Course was in great shape, except for one green that had some winter damage. It was the weekend of the 4th of July and the pace of play was slow (5 hours). This was the first time I had experienced play so slow at this course. There was a 2 some that was just killing the pace and no ranger asked them to pick it up.
The only other item I noticed were the greens were a little bit slower this year. I recommend this course every time the topic of courses that are a top value comes up.
Great Value
Excellent course, good challenge and has enough tee boxes for beginners as well as advanced golfers. That helps to keep a good pace.
Good Track, less than average experience
Dissapointing for a Golf Visions course, greens were shaggy and very bumby. Pace of play is not controlled and was a a death march, waited 10+ minutes for nearly every shot. Like the layout, was my first time, very likely will not return.
Very nice course
This a great course for golfers who are not novice. It is a fairly challenging course with a great pace of play on a Friday afternoon. The course is very well maintained and had a good mix of challenge and fun. The only complaint is that the greens were a bit chewed up, but other than that the course was in good condition.
Course challenging but fair
Course was in great shape. Set-up is challenging but fair which made for a good round. Foxford has a nice mix of link style and traditional tree lined holes.
This course has scenic views on the back nine
It was a good experience, course in very nice condition except the greens were exceptionally slow. Other than that, very pleased and would go back again.
A fun track. But allow plenty of time.
A lot of fun. Course was in good condition. Pace of play was terrible. Five hours to play. They need a ranger who speeds up the slow groups.
Foxford hills
Great course, very challenging .great condition, will come back in fall to see all the trees when leaves are changing
very nice course
The course was good for the average to advanced golfer .The course itself is laid out very nice with enough sand and bunker challenges and is also a extremely pretty .
Very good design
For April, course was in decent condition. Greens were somewhat slow and bumpy, as expected. Very nice layout--one of the better public courses in NW suburbs of Chicago. Multiple tees give every golfer a good challenge. Play it for sure.
Very scenic with lots of wetlands.
Nice track with a great variety of hole designs spaced out well inside homesites. Lack of GPS made first visit tough to club. Greens putt true.
Hands down Foxford is my favorite course to play in the nw suburbs
I never tire of playing here. The layout is awesome and conditions are generally perfect. It is fair and challenging at the same time.
Well conditioned and enjoyable course to play
Played the course multiple times. Always a joy to play. A good mixture of tough and easy holes. Course is usually well maintained.
Excellent Course Design
Course was covered with sand and greens needed some work.
GREAT COURSE.
Wonderful course. I been enjoyed lots as usual. Good course.
Without being overly punishing it demands attention to the little things .
Without being overly punishing it demands attention to the little things. Variety of tees allows you to pick your poison. Check the slope ratings from the different tees. You need to pay attention to where the pin is as the greens are a lot of fun with some interesting slopes and bumps and humps. Back nine is really beautiful. Overall a nice variety of holes and terrain. there are no unfair holes although 16 is tighter than a pair of skinny jeans.
I try and get here at least once a year,
Very poor customer service.
Arrived at the course for our tee time, checked in and was told everything is running on time. Got to the first tee and was told they have a golf outing that has priority over our tee time. They did not know when we would be able to tee off, but it was not going to be anytime soon. Most courses would have slotted us in between groups. We were told the outing was booked after we made our reservation and was booked over our time. We requested a refund (prepaid tee time) which they agreed to. No thought on their part to aploogize or willingness to offer something like a 50% off rate to get us to come back. This couse is an hour drive each way so we will not be returning.
