very nice course
The course was good for the average to advanced golfer .The course itself is laid out very nice with enough sand and bunker challenges and is also a extremely pretty .
Very good design
For April, course was in decent condition. Greens were somewhat slow and bumpy, as expected. Very nice layout--one of the better public courses in NW suburbs of Chicago. Multiple tees give every golfer a good challenge. Play it for sure.
Very scenic with lots of wetlands.
Nice track with a great variety of hole designs spaced out well inside homesites. Lack of GPS made first visit tough to club. Greens putt true.
Hands down Foxford is my favorite course to play in the nw suburbs
I never tire of playing here. The layout is awesome and conditions are generally perfect. It is fair and challenging at the same time.
Well conditioned and enjoyable course to play
Played the course multiple times. Always a joy to play. A good mixture of tough and easy holes. Course is usually well maintained.
Excellent Course Design
Course was covered with sand and greens needed some work.
GREAT COURSE.
Wonderful course. I been enjoyed lots as usual. Good course.
Without being overly punishing it demands attention to the little things .
Without being overly punishing it demands attention to the little things. Variety of tees allows you to pick your poison. Check the slope ratings from the different tees. You need to pay attention to where the pin is as the greens are a lot of fun with some interesting slopes and bumps and humps. Back nine is really beautiful. Overall a nice variety of holes and terrain. there are no unfair holes although 16 is tighter than a pair of skinny jeans.
I try and get here at least once a year,
Very poor customer service.
Arrived at the course for our tee time, checked in and was told everything is running on time. Got to the first tee and was told they have a golf outing that has priority over our tee time. They did not know when we would be able to tee off, but it was not going to be anytime soon. Most courses would have slotted us in between groups. We were told the outing was booked after we made our reservation and was booked over our time. We requested a refund (prepaid tee time) which they agreed to. No thought on their part to aploogize or willingness to offer something like a 50% off rate to get us to come back. This couse is an hour drive each way so we will not be returning.
Every hole was a unique challenge.
The course is well maintained; the staff professional and helpful. Foxford Hills is a challenging course and its appeal is in the uniqueness of each hole. The availability of nice bathroom facilities and cold water while on the course was an added nice touch. The back nine holes provide a great finish with equal measures of picturesque settings, unique holes, and challenging play.
Nice layout, some scenic and challenging holes, well maintained
Very nice course, with some interesting holes. Some in the woods, some laid out in the open terrain, but all well maintained. Nice people there.
nice track
good course try to keep under the pin , or putting will be tough
one of Cary's best golf courses
This is without question Cary's best golf course. It is well maintained an offers players of all abilities a great test of golf.
The course was in great shape.
golfing there was a very good experience, really enjoyed it.
Great course. Slow pace
This a REALLY fun course. Good mix of Grip-n-Rip holes and others that require less than driver and a little strategy. Greens are pretty tough. Subtle breaks and some real foolers that appear to break uphill!! We played on a Tuesday as a twosome. The pace was incredibly slow. We were waiting on every shot. There were 2 twosomes ahead of us. Why they didn't pair us up I do not know.
Good and challenging course..sand in traps a little caked
Enjoyed the course...more difficult large greens that most courses.
Great/Challenging Course
The condition of the course is fantastic and the layout is challenging and fun. The greens are where this course is won and lost. They can be hard to read and if you are above the hole, you can pretty much count on a 3 putt. Ridges in the greens are very well hidden with some very challenging pin placements.
Bring your A game this course demands it
A great course to play. One of the toughest courses around you need to bring your A game for sure. I rank this up there with some of my favorites.
Great track
A real golf course with a nice challenge. Being a Muni it has the the fault of many. Not everyone repairs their ball marks. It's sad, don't get me wrong, I've played at may private and exclusive clubs, and they have the same issue. Kudo's to the Lion's Club for having so many outings
