Lake Barrington Shores Golf Club

I did not play due to bad weather expected.

So I list the money. I have reviewed this earlier.

This is a good course with a challenging layout. May i suggest hitting a 200 yd club on par 5, hole 2? The fairway looks open and inviting, but with water all long the right side and ob left, once you get in this fairway, you'll see it mostly slants toward the water. So u can hit a drive right down the middle and end up wet. Hole 18 is 420 from tips, hit 3w....the fairway runs down in to the trees past the dog leg.

Anyways....we found the course a quality, fun and challenging layout. The first time playing it may leave you scratching your head. You may want to do some green mapping because the greens can make you look bad.

The range, is a range, but needs some serious TLC. Otherwise I really enjoyed it. Enter the community from Rt59. Your GPS will turn you off 59....stay ON 59 to enter.

I didn't play because the weather turned to be windy and cold so I decided to skip. However I couldn't reach out to you to get a credit or anything.

Course is always maintained. As close to a private club as you’ll get. Watch out for the 17th hole!

Really fun time! Cool course layout, nice conditions.

This place was a little odd to find but turned out to be a good experience. The course was very soft with evidence of major watering, unlike most courses I've played recently. Tees and fairways were very nice and greens were real soft and held well. Traps were a little hard and or wet. Carts were older and no GPS but adequate. Enjoyed the round as layout was interesting and fairly easy.

The course was in good condition. They are selling more tee times to the public and I would expect the conditions to go down quickly. The carts are not in good shape and the bunkers need help. The fairways and greens are fine though. A nice layout with tree lined fairways. We finished the front in under 2 hours but still had a grumpy golfer behind us complaining about the pace. There was no where to go as the course was full ahead of us. Overall, still a nice course.

Wonderful course in excellent condition! Challenging and beautiful, and a great value at $55!

Unfortunately, the facilities and cart paths are dated and terrible. So if you don’t care about this things, I highly recommend this course. If you’re looking for country club amenities, forget about it!
