Greens no good.
I love this course, staff is always amazing, they have cart girls that are attentive and on their game. But the greens lately have just been horrendous.. not sure if it’s because it’s been so hot this summer, but I’ve definitely seen them in much better conditions,
Nice layout and mix of holes
Great hot pick for $57 incl. cart. Course in great shape but greens were recently punched and sanded. I will be back. Interesting mix of holes.
I was excited to play Highfields and would never play here again.
To start, we arrived and got to the first tee at 12:45, 5 minutes ahead of our tee off time, and the starter simply asked our time and made us scramble to wait on the tee box until 12:50. Then we proceeded to drive off into the fairway of the first hole to be yelled at that it was cart path only. A warning from the starter would have been nice.
Later in the round, we figured the roped off holes and first hole were cart path only, just to be yelled at again by the ranger later again. Glad to use the cart gps in the fairway... oh wait that couldn't happen.
Additionally, the snack bar closed before 3pm on a Saturday which was a let down. The greens were decent, fairways were okay, and some tee boxes were really rough. Overall thought the course was pretty bland and not worth the $85 on the weekend.
Would recommend Shining Rock or any of the other courses in the Central Mass area. Will not be playing here again!
Nice, but bring your patience.
10ish t time took 4;45 to play. Takes so much away from an otherwise nice place. Saw rangers all day. Never approached us. Sorry, but unlikely to play again anytime soon.
Highfields in great shape!
Played Highfields last weekend late afternoon after a tournament. Conditions were excellent and pace of play surprisingly quick for an afternoon round. Highly recommend this track if you can get a time here.
1st time out
Course was in good shape. Very windy day made course tougher than usual/
