White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park is a challenging but playable layout that is well known amongst locals. At just over 7,000 yards, the golf course offers a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards come into play on most holes, demanding several difficult forced carries. There are also some spots on the course that can be quite narrow. The terrain is mostly flat but the layout provides enough diversity to appeal to both low and high handicappers. White Clay Creek has a strong reputation not only for the golf course but also for its various amenities, which give it the feel of a private club. Staff assists you with getting your clubs to and from your car and use of the driving range and chipping green are included in the reasonable fee.

Tough but awesome

Great practice facilities. Great conditions. Workers said the greens are only going to get faster and they were already moving. Lots of carries and not for the feint of heart but awesome course if you're up for the challenge.

Springtime

Over the past 5 years I've always played this course during winter when the rates are discounted, so today, was a real treat to play it "in season".

The course played magnificently; the greens were extremely fast and extremely true.

I highly recommend playing this course!

Best around

The free use of practice facilities is worth at least $25 and I took full advantage. My round was the best of the year, thanks to the long warm up. Course is immaculate and staff are top notch. I try to play here once a month due to the exceptional experience.

5 hrs and only through 14th

Slow. Slow. Slow. The course mgmt does nothing to speed it up. Had to leave because it would have been a 6:30 hr round.

The good and not so good

White Clay is a great course in very good condition.

It has many forced carries and is difficult for average golfers. The fairways are mostly very wide but if you spray the ball bring lots of them because forget about it if you’re in the weeds.

The low service rating was due to a couple factors . We reserved a a threesome however on the first tee after we all hit , a fourth player was added who they rushed on us as he had to put on his shoes and took forever to get going. He also was a terrible golfer which was ok however he had no golf etiquette hitting ball after ball off the tee and practicing throughout the round ruing what was supposed to be a bonding experience with my son and grandson. It took us 5 1/2 hours to play and our fourth left on the 17th hole without any goodbye.

While I’m on a role the other problem is that we didn’t see the beverage service until the 17th hole.

Also the layout is quirky in that land there must be very cheap as the holes are miles apart (no chance for walking)

There are a couple of holes that are difficult to maneuver where carts aren’t allowed. This backs up the flow of play so if you have 5 hours , it is a beautiful course .

Quick round, conditions A++

Played at 4:10 on a Thursday. Got around in 3:10 moving consistently. Course conditions were A++ (expected here, to be honest), greens were fast. No complaints whatsoever. Please keep these twilight rates, they are unbeatable.

White Clay Creek, 4/2024

Not my first visit here and the staff, course and extras are definitely on point.... Full practice area, excellent fairways and greens. Now it's not called White Clay Creek for nothing. The creek reminds of its presence on just about every hole.. I'll definitely return when I'm due to be humbled by the golf gods..

Unorganized

This was my second time playing White Clay and I immediately noticed that it was slightly unorganized. There was not a started for the first tee box and the group teeing off before us were 8 minutes behind from the start. It was also cart path only and with their new carts you cannot access the rough beside the path without it shutting off. The delay from the first tee and cart path only made for a very long round of golf.

Great Course. Slow Play

The condition of the course was excellent. It was a challenging course where you have to make shots and use every club in your bag. Apparently there was a 6-some a couple of holes in front of us and play ground to a halt. Didn’t see a ranger out there all day. Hesitant to drive from NJ again due to slow play.

Great Layout, Really challenging for a 20 handicap and high winds.

I've golfed here many times, and as always it eats balls. Water, tree lined fairways, and many gullies/creeks to find along the way. It is a placement style course and a very spreadout layout. Make sure you follow the signs carefully as there are some long drives between a few holes. Brand new carts yesterday (March20, 2024) with GPS and Great practice facilities included make this a worthwhile (albiet expensive) round to enjoy.
