Back of the Dunes
Thoroughly enjoyed playing a morning nine on the back of the Dunes course. Interesting well manicured rolling , challenging but fair layout with voluminous traps and some water. Hit the practice green first, easy to 3 Putt, Greens are fast and break a lot.
Good Experience for a Public Course
The Dunes Course is in remarkably good condition considering that it's booked all day every day this time of year. The layout is fine and it's challenging for all levels of players, with six different tee box choices. Plus, it's an Audubon sanctuary so the birds are stunning.
Can’t believe we got on.
Well maintained, nice layout.
Very lucky to find a morning t time.
Super friendly gentleman who was the starter
And we played with a nice guy.
Pace of play a bit slow, 4 hours and 40 minutes,
But understandable with so many folks playing.
Had an enjoyable round, course was in good shape, one of the better ones in the area.
Fine Layout
The course was in good condition and the layout was great. SOme challenging hole from the white tees, yet played fair. The pace of play could have been better.
Fun course
The course was in excellent condition. Greens rolled true and fast. Layout was fun/interesting requiring many different shots but the pace was ridiculously SLOW. Waited on almost every shot and felt pushed with the 2 groups seemingly behind us waiting as well. The 2 players we were paired with left after 9. Love the course and will definitely play again but maybe at a different time to avoid the slow play.
Great course for the money
Played the Dunes. Very nice muni course. Greens & tee boxes in good shape. Suggest Get a beverage cart (or 3) to enhance player experience & make more money for taxpayers who fund the course.
