About
Vista Plantation Golf Club is an Arthur Hills-designed course that is conveniently located near all of Vero Beach's attractions. The course is just a short drive from the scenic beaches, which are part of Florida's Treasure Coast. The course is compact but challenging with small, fast greens and tight fairways. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The golf course is challenging enough for avid players yet forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence. It's a player-friendly layout that is great for beginners and seniors. Though the golf course may not require distance, your short game skills will be put to the test. There is not only water but also numerous strategically placed bunkers. Vista Plantation is a golf course that will make you think and you'll also need to be accurate.

Golf in March
A great course, friendly staff but very crowded with a 2 - e minute wait on every tee box

Even though this is a short executive course (4 Par 4's on each 9; no Par 5's) it has some challenging tee shots. There's lots of water on the course and "carries" with narrow alternate rescue directions to avoid the "carries." Also, the greens (and fairways) were hard and fast. The greens are relatively small and were hard to hold approach shots. I found the round very challenging for my skills, but thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and the play!

A Ranger Would Be Nice
Golf course is in very good shape although the greens seemed a little slower than the last time we played, but not a bad thing. Unfortunately we played behind a male foursome who were exceedingly slow even though they were using three carts. Other than that a great weather day and a good time.

Slow pace
Great course, tight for a short course, lots of water that comes into play. Group in front of us were slow , it took over 3 1/2 hours but should have been done in or under 3 hours.

Not improving
When the new owner too over he indicated changes for the better..
So far all he’s done is put the price up.
Staff outside are friendly, but the guy in the mornings inside at the register comes across as a grumpy cat most days. I’m sure he’s a nice guy but he needs to lighten up a bit!
It’s still our favorite little course.

Water
We were told before teeing off that 17 holes had water. This was true. This made the par 62 tougher. Course was in pretty good condition. Would probably play again.
