About
Situated in the heart of Chestermere, Lakeside Golf Club is conveniently only 20 minutes east of downtown Calgary. The 18-hole layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. The golf course is gentle enough for high handicappers but it will still give more advanced golfers a chance to use their skills. Water has a prominent presence throughout the golf course, it comes into play on nearly every hole on the front nine. The back nine may have less water, but you'll have to contend with more strategically placed bunkers, like on the par-3 13th. This tough hole features not only a large lake on the right but also an array of bunkers circling the green. In addition to the course, With all of the hazards you'll be facing, it may not be a bad idea to use Lakeside's driving range and putting green to warm up.

May day golf
Good day. Not too many golfers out so got around in 3 hours and a bit. Course is in pretty decent early season shape. Still needs work on a few holes that have winter kill and casual water issues year round (1, 8 and 17).
Not bad for $30.00 but not worth $60.00.
Early golf round in the cold
Greens actually in good condition. Weather was cold and windy and game was not at my usual stds. Hot deals price is great for this course . Range balls need to be updated soon

Early Season but a nice round
The course was pretty wet as it is still very early in the season. The course was in good a shape (considering the circumstances) and the staff is very friendly. Overall it was a nice outing but I would recommend they provide a course guide as there were many holes where water was in play but not in view from the tee box.

Decent early season conditions
Over all a decent course. Not busy at all due to the lousy weather (can you do something about that for next time?) A very good deal with the hot deal.

Lake 10-20
Course was in good condition. Greens were good. They could have cleaned up the leaves on a couple holes better but over all the holes were clean. Pace was a little slow this Time.

Chestermere in fall time
The course is average condition, the staff at check in not friendly or helpful. Double charged for cart. Greens are true, fairways need some work and bunkers need a lot of sand.
Under $50 with cart is good for this course.

Lakeside is in better condition now than it was a few months ago. Houses are a bit too close for novice golfers. Decent place to play if you're not paying full price.

first time in long time
I believe last time played would be in either the 90's or early 2000's before the flood in I think 2005. Love the layout, great if not a long hitter and playing from the whites, little more challenging for those playing from Blues or further. Short drive from town and a very enjoyable day with a great Hot Tee time.

Lots of ground under repair
Nice course, but lots of ground under repair that interfered with playing your ball and that you had to avoid walking on.

Slow
I understand slow play on the weekends but back 2 back 5hr rounds is unacceptable

i agreethey should have a marshall on weekends enforcing the slow play rule.
It took me over 5 1/2 hrs to play on one weekend. Never again.
A course I'd like to play again
Can't say Wow like some other courses but it was a good course that was fun to play. Course in good condition although wet from recent rains so no roll, which made it play longer. Paired up with another couple who had played here before and that added to the enjoyment and guide around the course. Needed to know where to hit your tee shot on some holes or you could get into trouble. Would play again if ever in the area.

Course was in good condition, a couple of fairways were in poor shape. The greens were excellent. I will return.

Nice Course
Nice Course in good shape for the time of year....the greens were a bit on the slow side, but rolled very true and were in overall good condition. Given the close proximity of the houses near some tee boxes and greens additional netting would be a good idea. That being said, the proximity of the houses made for a more conservative approach and kept the majority of drives in the fairway....maybe that's a good thing!

good buy for the golf now price
The greens had been aerated so it was quite bumpy. We played after a heavy rain the previous day so some of the fairways were roped off and it was cart path only. Give it another 2-3weeks and it should be in good condition.

Great course
I love this course! Unfortunately the first hole is under repair. I was glad I didn't pay full price to play. The first hole is reduced to a par 3 and the 125 yards from the green into the fairway is getting new sod. There are many greens that have lots of winter kill still which made putting challenging.
The staff is friendly and the food is great. I would recommend this course to everyone but maybe wait a month or so before playing until the first hole is opened back up to a par 4 again and the greens grow in more.

Conditions poor
This course has a great layout, and challenging holes. Too bad the greens and fairways are in poor condition. patchy dead grass, and greens are the worst Ive played in the area. lots of courses around with much better conditions for the money.

Good course layout
Everything was in good shape for the early time of the season. Would have picked a different time had I known the greens had just been aerated. Love the fact that there are lots of trees.
