About
Situated in the heart of Chestermere, Lakeside Golf Club is conveniently only 20 minutes east of downtown Calgary. The 18-hole layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. The golf course is gentle enough for high handicappers but it will still give more advanced golfers a chance to use their skills. Water has a prominent presence throughout the golf course, it comes into play on nearly every hole on the front nine. The back nine may have less water, but you'll have to contend with more strategically placed bunkers, like on the par-3 13th. This tough hole features not only a large lake on the right but also an array of bunkers circling the green. In addition to the course, With all of the hazards you'll be facing, it may not be a bad idea to use Lakeside's driving range and putting green to warm up.

Great day for a round.
Set in a community just outside Calgary amongst very nice homes. Homes come into play for the left and right player but only on three or four holes, keep it on the fairway and no worries. There are a number of water hazards. 18 is about a 125 yard carry to the green. Bring extra balls.
Fairways were in good condition considering the amount of winter kill there was this year. Greens were in great shape. Played week day so the beverage cart starts at noon, just as we were approaching 18th green, not sure about weekends.
We would definitely play this course again.
Didn't enter the clubhouse so can't comment on the food. My playing partner had to rush off. Maybe next time. We'll be back.
Hi "waynepaquin" we hope that you enjoyed your challenging round with us. There are a few water hazards throughout the course. But as you said if you keep it straight then you are good to go! We do have a sale on Titleist Balls so don't forget to stock up before your next round with us.
Great day on great course
Was a beautiful Wednesday morning. Would have been slow if we had not joined up with another twosome at the fifth hole. Lots of water hazards, but got lucky and avoided most. Got a great deal from Golf Now.

Greens are now in great condition and fairways filling in nicely.

Paired with idiots
Course was good. Nice layout. Lots of water and doglegs. We were paired with a father and son who nothing about golf etiquette. We were warned twice about slow play. Would not listen to me about ways to speed play. So slow only played 9 holes and pro shop gave us rain check.

Nice course
Very nicely layed out. A few homes are a little too close to the fairways and probably get hit a lot. Very nice and friendly staff.

Time to play
Of all the times that I have played the course the best time of day is to book a tee time between 12 and 1.
Pace of play is usually really good.
Excellent course to play.
Would recommend course to anyone. Low to high handicaps would enjoy.
Great course
Great course and it's in great shape right now. Great staff. Good experience.
A good walk not ruined
Nice course with plenty of water. We felt it was playing slow but completed our round in just over 4 hours. Would certainly consider playing again if we could get another GolfNow deal.
It's a thinkers course!
I found the course to be a fun and challenging. It made me think about some shots as the lay out wasn't just pull the driver and swing away. Irons off almost every tee made the course really enjoyable and forced me to make great second shots. Everyone who plays this course will have a great time.
Lakeside Greens
Not a very good experience this time around. Followed a group of four on hole #1 on hole #2 it grew to five than to six on hole number 5 and then to 7. On hole #18 there were 9 players teeing off so we skipped 18 . Took us 5 hrs to play 17 holes. No marshal on the course. Complained at the pro shop but there was no one in authority to complain to. Not a good experience. Have never been on a course that allows 9 players to tee off on any hole.
Great Course for Money
Great course for the money... if you get the course on a HOT deal through golfnow. I don't know why you would golf anywhere else.... course is usually in good shape and plays pretty quick.
nice place to get out of the city
While you are not actually lakeside there is a bit of water in play on the course to make for a few challenging holes. Well maintained nice green course. The Marshall telling you to keep up a few times while you are waiting for fairways to clear was slightly annoying but I guess they have a job to do as well. I will play this course again for sure.
Blown away
Love the course played there several times
The wind 40 to 60 km dried out the greens so even if you hit the green the ball would not stay on.
No fault of the course the condition of the course was good with a few dead spots on the greens but overall good.
I got a golfnow hot deal or I would not play here as the regular rates are too high for this course, given its location.
Good course but affected by rains
Considering rain seasons of southern alberta, green was well maintained but fairways too much soggy like as swampy field because of rain.
Lakeside Green
Course was In good condition for this time of year. Greens were dry with some winter kill. Over all a very pleasant golf experience the staff and golf club have a lot to be proud of. I will definitely golf Lakeside Green again
Lakeside hot deal
Couse was farely short from the men's tees. As an average golfer shot an 87, with some approach mistakes. I was able to hit a 4 Iron on most holes probably only used a driver for 5 holes. Water on most holes made for a challenge and a different look on holes. Pace was terrible, seemed like it was overbooked for a smooth round, but for the price I could not really complain. Would not pay full price for this course due to difficulty being average and the pace was terrible. Pace: tee time: 3:57 PM, finished: 9 PM.
