About
Situated in the heart of Chestermere, Lakeside Golf Club is conveniently only 20 minutes east of downtown Calgary. The 18-hole layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. The golf course is gentle enough for high handicappers but it will still give more advanced golfers a chance to use their skills. Water has a prominent presence throughout the golf course, it comes into play on nearly every hole on the front nine. The back nine may have less water, but you'll have to contend with more strategically placed bunkers, like on the par-3 13th. This tough hole features not only a large lake on the right but also an array of bunkers circling the green. In addition to the course, With all of the hazards you'll be facing, it may not be a bad idea to use Lakeside's driving range and putting green to warm up.

Golf cart blues
Have played this course several times with cart. This time it was cart path only due to the rain from previous days. It was totally unnecessary, a few holes definitely but rest of course no. Unless u hit ur ball next to cart path there was lots of walking to ball and back for yardage which took time. I have a bad hip so extra walking causes pain and discomfort. Saw other golfers driving in the fairways to their ball and one group drove right up to each green. The Marshall did nothing, either it's path only for all or none at all. The round was way to long because of cart path only. Will not play this course again.
Greens are in great shape
lots of water holes and course is a good challenge for the intermediate golfer.
Nice friendly club, great staff
Greens were first rate. One fairway was virtually unplayable but the others were good. Nice track, not particularly difficult and fits its handicap rating. Good value for money

Lots of water and houses near by so be careful when you hit the ball lol.
I hit no houses but the water was not my friend
End of the season shotgun
Last day of the season was perfect. Started out a bit cool and windy, but as the pad progressed it warmed up. Sweaters to start, but shirt sleeves at the end.
Great day for golf i the middle of October.
Lakeside Greens, Cheśtemere/Calgary
The course offers a good layout but needs to undergo some repairs on the fairways (wet & bare alkaline areas & upgrades to the boxes and water holes). With the hot ðry summer we had this year most fairways were lush and green and first cut was fairly long making it difficult to get great shots into the green. It made pace a lot slower if you didn't hit the fairways. This course offers a variety of difficulty depending on which tee boxes you use. Playing to your handicap gives you za good challenge for most golfers.
