Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club
About
Located just five minutes northwest of Edmonton, Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club (formerly konwn as Hunters Green Golf Club) is spread across gently rolling terrain accented with a smattering of mature trees. At just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, the golf course doesn't use length to intimidate. The plentiful water hazards serve that purpose. Golfers will have to contend with water on 11 holes and your golf management skills will be tested with each one. Several holes present a difficult choice between going for it and laying up, a difference that could be between making par or adding multiple strokes. There are several tricky holes but the golf course isn't overly punishing for the high handicapper. The wide fairways offer some room for error. There is also a driving range available at Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club.

For the first nine holes, the grounds were very rough and it played at a very slow pace. There was no Marshall around who could help hurry some slow, walking golfers ahead. The back nine were in better conditions and the slow golfers luckily left. Overall, the deal on golf now made it worthy.
Decent price for decent course
Good price for the deal. Course is ok shape. Busy course means slow pace of place. No marshal around to keep pace.
Always a great round.
I enjoy Cattail, the course wintered very well, the fairways are super lush with a bit more rain the greens will slowly come around. One thing I’d like to see improved is overall tee box consistency, some tee boxes were scattered and poorly kept. Also would like to see the greens on course play more consistent but again this will come with more rain and moisture throughout the year.
Good for what I paid
Course played tough with a stiff wind. GUR on almost every hole. Course maintenance staff were very inconsiderate. One maintenance worker saw us in the middle of the ninth fairway and turned the sprinklers on manually, absolutely ridiculous. On the thirteenth hole another worker was 25 feet ahead of the tee box and didn’t get out of the way, absolutely inconsiderate. What should I expect for $39 including cart??
Good for late october
I wish the player assistant would monitor slow groups. At one point three full groups were on one hole. This shouldn’t happen.
Rude Superintendent
Booking for 4 some; was not impressed with first hole. All started on temporary tee box; par 5s turned into par 4, par 4s turned into par 3 and par 3s are 80 yards. At one par 3, the temporary tee box was so hard we can’t insert a tee. So we used the closest tee box. The superintendent flying down with his quads and screaming at us. We told him the ground was too hard and no sign we can’t use the tee box. He threatened to kick us out. What a deuschbag! What an SOB! I hope he get fire!
Nice course found it on GolfNow
Found on golfnow cost $40 with cart for 18. Had to wait about 40 min after my tee time to get on. Once we started it was backed up the whole 18 otherwise nice course
