About
Situated north of Lacombe, Nursery Golf & Country Club is conveniently located just off of Hwy 2 between Edmonton and Calgary. It lies just east of the Canadian Rockies. The course appeals to players of all skill levels, from beginners to pros, thanks to a diverse range of holes. You'll have to contend with tricky doglegs and tree-lined fairways as well as several different water hazards, including a stream that cuts across the entire golf course. The layout crosses over the stream several times, connected by scenic wooden bridges. The tranquil setting of the golf course is ideal for a round of golf. Nursery Golf & Country Club finishes with a tough par 5. There is trouble nearly everywhere you turn on this hole with tall poplars lining the fairways and a sloped green. If you're even slightly right of the fairway you'll be punished with a blind second shot.

Still love the relaxed feeling on this course, but continue to not understand why they do not include carts in their hot deals! It is becoming pricey to play, and not all fairways are in great shape! Just include carts with the hot deals! All the other courses in the area include them? That’s my rant!
Enjoy playing this course
We have been playing at this course for 10 years. It’s usually a very relaxed course to play with great prices, but now the hot deals do not include a cart, but the green fees are just as high. It averages about $60 a round which is not a hot deal. We used to book for $35, cart included. We feel that they are taking advantage of the fact that there is not much else to do in these trying times. Also they are over booking and you have to sit and wait on every hole. It took 5 hours for 2 of us to play a round. Normally we would be about 2.5 hours! Still love the course, but they may have to make a few changes , or they are going to lose business.

surprise money grab for the cart when you get there on the Hot Deal
Miss information
I do like this course however we booked on Golfnow and it didn’t have the cart as an option so we phoned the course and they said it was wrong that it did include the cart. When we got there they told us different that the cart was not included. Like I said I do like this course for 50 to 55 for 18 with a cart but 75 is too much. There are many courses around that are the same or better for less. I could have golfed wolf creek for that price.

Tucked Away Treasure
This course is definitely worth the veer off the highway! From the minute we pulled up and heard the 80s rock anthems I knew it was going to be a good time. 18 holes, a cart and a bud light set me back a reasonable $75. The course has some challenging dog legs that left us pondering our best moves from the tee box but would be suitable for any level golfer including the lady infront of us wearing jorts and flip flops. The staff really drove home the “love your job and you’ll never work a day in your life” motto. The Marshall although not overly exceptional at maintaining pace had the biggest smile on his face every time which added to the experience. Hot dogs were average but could’ve used more condiment options. Bathrooms were very clean and although we didn’t get the opportunity the patio looked more than ideal to crush a couple cold ones with the boys.
Well worth the $$$
Other than a couple greens being repaired the course is great, well worth the money.
