About
Situated north of Lacombe, Nursery Golf & Country Club is conveniently located just off of Hwy 2 between Edmonton and Calgary. It lies just east of the Canadian Rockies. The course appeals to players of all skill levels, from beginners to pros, thanks to a diverse range of holes. You'll have to contend with tricky doglegs and tree-lined fairways as well as several different water hazards, including a stream that cuts across the entire golf course. The layout crosses over the stream several times, connected by scenic wooden bridges. The tranquil setting of the golf course is ideal for a round of golf. Nursery Golf & Country Club finishes with a tough par 5. There is trouble nearly everywhere you turn on this hole with tall poplars lining the fairways and a sloped green. If you're even slightly right of the fairway you'll be punished with a blind second shot.

Miss information
I do like this course however we booked on Golfnow and it didn’t have the cart as an option so we phoned the course and they said it was wrong that it did include the cart. When we got there they told us different that the cart was not included. Like I said I do like this course for 50 to 55 for 18 with a cart but 75 is too much. There are many courses around that are the same or better for less. I could have golfed wolf creek for that price.
Tucked Away Treasure
This course is definitely worth the veer off the highway! From the minute we pulled up and heard the 80s rock anthems I knew it was going to be a good time. 18 holes, a cart and a bud light set me back a reasonable $75. The course has some challenging dog legs that left us pondering our best moves from the tee box but would be suitable for any level golfer including the lady infront of us wearing jorts and flip flops. The staff really drove home the “love your job and you’ll never work a day in your life” motto. The Marshall although not overly exceptional at maintaining pace had the biggest smile on his face every time which added to the experience. Hot dogs were average but could’ve used more condiment options. Bathrooms were very clean and although we didn’t get the opportunity the patio looked more than ideal to crush a couple cold ones with the boys.
Well worth the $$$
Other than a couple greens being repaired the course is great, well worth the money.
Golf Now
I no longer care for the new Golf Now / golf course protocols.
Golf courses use your services to promote their courses.
However, their booking times are all either walking rates or minimum of two.
Yesterday I had to pay an extra 20.00 at the course for a cart.
I might as well dump your services and just call direct to the course and do my own booking.

Nice course
We always enjoy a round at the Nursery. The course is awesome. The amenities continue to need attention. Looks like they are starting to make some improvement which is nice to see. Cleanliness of the pro shop bathroom continue to be an issue that I hope the owners have plans for. It stinks! We golf several courses in the area and I was surprised to be charged 40.00 just for the golf cart. Which I had to retrieve myself and clean of before I could use it. Usual price is 10.00 a person.
The Nursery by Lacombe
The course was lush with ample vegetation and the greens were moderate in speed. The pace of play was excellent and the day was most enjoyable.
Great time had
Supper friendly staff a and fun course. T times could be more closely managed as others t’d off right after our set time and with Covid restricting play through we felt pressured to hurry our game with a single golfer on our heels the whole round.
Worth to pay
Course is well amimtened. All staffs are nice and friendly. I will definitely recommend this course to my friends.
