Vulcan Golf and Country Club

About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

cold day
not a great day for golf. the weather was very cold and windy, so did not complete the round. the course itself was in good shape.
a bit breezy but still great round
the course just opened and it was very windy but still a great day. course condition was excellent.
Lots of leaves
They are doing their best to get rid of the leaves but it's a challenging proposition. However, twice on the front nine, a worker stopped and helped look for a ball in the leaves. Another example of how great the staff is.
Goodbye summer
Weather starting to turn but course still in good shape. Lots of leaves so it's starting to be a problem finding your golf ball. Course still in good shape.
Great Back 9 !
The front nine is a classic flat tree lined track with small greens. The front 9 is in fair condition.... the bunkers have enough sand and the fairways are not thin. Having played it now, I would take more hybrids off the tees because the approach shots are not long.
Then...... !! The Back 9. What a beautiful and surprising 9. Reminds me of southern US resort courses. The fairways broaden out and the course has wonderfully contoured fairways, bunkers and greens. I’d love to play that Back 9 about 4 times for a day of 36 holes.
I live about 80-85 minutes from the course, and that won’t deter me from playing the course many times in the future.
Grass on front nine very short
Back nine is in great shape. For some reason, front nine has been cut quite low. Needs to grow a little.
Great weather, great course
The weather was warm, no wind. No one in front of us for 2 holes, and same for behind us. Great round.
Very windy but had a 3 hour round
Weather was not good but had a good round. Grass on front nine is cut pretty short, not sure why. Grass on back nine still great.
