Vulcan Golf and Country Club
About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Course is in good shape
Fairways are in good condition, greens are good on the front nine. Back nine have been aerated and sanded, not so good on the back nine.
Course is in good shape
Finished the round in just under 3 1/2 hours. Fairways are in good shape, greens are a little slow but consistent.
Did not Respect GolfNow booking
Overall the course was decent. The greens were being worked on which was fine. But the only reason why we came here was for the $40 tee time which had the carts included. However it was NOT a hot deal so I did not have to pay online. I have the receipt and everything where we had the amount due on the course. The staff however did not respect that and made us pay $60 for the tee time. Which is extremely frustrating since we made an 1 hour and 30 minute trip. If that was the case we would have never chosen this spot.
2 - 5 some groups in a row
Course is in great condition with exception of the greens on the back nine. Those have just been aerated and sanded, obviously very slow. Front nine, pace was great. Back nine, got backed up because of 2 5some groups. Why would the course let a 5some out, let alone 2 of them in a row?
A little gem
Love the course. With the rain we’ve had this year the course is beautiful. Would help if they sprayed as the mosquitos were kind of bad.
Course is in great shape
Course is in great shape, fairways are lush and green. Greens are pretty straight and true. Went through the round in 3 hours. Great round.
A marshal would help
Front nine, very slow. Back nine it picked up so I can only conclude that the slow group quit after 9. Course is in very good shape.
Great variety in the 2 9 hole courses
Great staff, course is in great condition. We enjoyed the different 9 hole courses!
Excellent course
Excellent course with good variance between front and back 9.
Great way to celebrate Canada day
That was the 3rd time this year
That we played Vulcan.
Evertime I go I am more impressed
With the staff, especially Barb!
Always very pleasant, competent,
Runs a great course!
Of all the southern Alberta courses
That we play Barb impresses me
The most, and that is why we will
Go play Vulcan a few more times
Before the season is over.
Well worth the 1 hour commute from
My house.
Thank you Barb
Course is in good shape
Fairways are nice and green, the greens are in good condition, rolling straight. Definitely better than other country courses we've played recently.
Vulcan hidden gem
We play this course a few times a year, greens were in perfect shape, fairways good to very good. Moderate difficulty, very nice course
