Beautiful course with amazing views
Course is set among homes and condos but they are all beautiful with stunning landscaping. And the mountains are everywhere on the horizon. I love "eye-candy" courses and this is one of the nicest I have played. The big challenge to scoring well are the bunkers. Lots of them and strategically placed. Generous landing areas so drives need not be always down the middle. I look forward to playing it again.
Hi Ronmashak,
Thank you for choosing Crown Isle! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful views that we have to offer. We look forward to having you back!
Sand traps need work
this course is well laid out and favorable for the average golfer. Sand traps could be a little better.
Always enjoy my round at this course.
Hi Dundeeroy07,
Thank you for choosing Crown Isle. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed round! We hope to have you back again soon!
Beautiful views
Greens could've been a bit more consistent speed wise. Other than that course is in great shape. Never saw beverage cart the whole round.

Another nice round at Crown Isle
Had another great day with friendly staff, and a great golf course. Greens wee somewhat inconsistent, and haven't healed from the last punching. Time will fix that. The biggest challenge was the wind - up to 3 clubs at times, with lots of gusts and swirling!

Good Round of golf
Very good shape, quick greens, sand was a bit soggy
Round was good value with cart but my guests rental clubs were way too expensive at $49 along with the $69 round, half that for the club rental would be reasonable.
Just don't need high-end of clubs with the high rental cost especially when doing a couple days of rounds. Not everyone wants to drag a set of clubs along on a combo business/pleasure trip with a couple of airport stops. Club rental should not be a deterrent.
Excellent facility, pretty good course
The facilities are excellent, location is great, and mountain views spectacular. The course condition was great and pace was excellent. The course layout itself was pretty good, but not the main reason to visit.
Lucked Out
We drove up island from Parksville and it rained the whole way. We played the first 3 holes in light rain then cleared up for an enjoyable round of golf. Course is always in great condition and a joy to play.
Mid spring shape
Shaping up good for summer after very wet winter.
Fairways are in good shape, greens in very good shape and bunkers still being worked.
Accomodations are excellent and Timber Room pub is good. Only need a pool and spa to be considered a true resort.
Great course
The course is great just the time of year and wet weather made it not so pleasant.
Sliding people in between us.
The pace of play was good until the pro shop staff let a twosome slide in front of us , and then we were waiting on every hole, to top it off the gentleman that slide in front of us verbally abused one of our group, reported this to the staff and with a smile listened too us but as before nothing was done, not the first time this has happened. Course condition was wet but considering it is the end of Jan it is expected.
First class
We stayed one night and loved the room. The day we golfed was very nice with sun. We were given a golf cart with our deal but because the course was very wet we had to stay on the path which sucked. I think we walked further than if we had of used our push carts. Next time if it is wet we will use our push carts. All in all very beautiful course.
Great course
Played yesterday and the course was in great shape for October. Could play here all winter. I'll be back for sure.
Thanks
Bunkers need some work...
This course is very picturesque, has great scenery and is quite challenging. The greens were excellent and the fairways pretty good considering the lack of rain there this summer. On the downside the bunkers had very little sand in them and were like concrete about 3/4" of sand in the bottom and every club in my $50 club rental was dirty... even the woods... horrible. Not even an apology when I politely mentioned this at the end of the round.
Nice course
The course is very nice. But if you are not a fan of playing between houses like me, I would not recommend playing there. But the course itself quite nice.
5 hour round, not a marshall to be seen!
This course is often slow, but Sept 3 was ridiculous. They have marshals but they always have a hard time keeping up the pace of play and this day we didn't see one. Some areas have the fairways cut too close and it's like hitting off mud. Otherwise, this time of year the course is in fine shape. The greens are wonderful
The bunkers are never great but can be in very bad condition in shoulder and winter months. Unplayable at times.
