Nice round
It was a beautiful day for golf. The course fairways were superb. The greens were punched a couple weeks prior but I didn't mind. They were growing in nicely
Slow greens
We were looking forward to playing Crown Isle but once we got there we realised why the price was so cheap, the greens had been punched and sanded and very slow.
We normally walk and this time the deal included a cart, not being used to a cart I found it a bit of a pain.
Supreme early season condition
Thoroughly enjoyed my round at crown isle. The course was in excellent condition for the time of year/amount of precipitation that's fallen this year. Challenging layout with lots of blindish tee shots. I'll be back...

Great course

Friendly staff members
We were greeted by friendly and courteous staff members . They were also very helpful when we mentioned the golf cart was not working probably they immediately switched a different cart for us.
Enjoyed our round
Considering the amount of rain/snow this winter, the course was quite dry and the greens were in good shape. We did not play out of the sand traps because they have not been groomed yet.
We teed off mid afternoon and finished 18 in about 4 hours.
Great winter golf
Great for this time of year and weather conditions. Course was a lot dryer than expected. Greens were surprisingly fast.
I love coming back here.
Coming from the prairies every round in February is a bonus. Even though only 17 holes were open (#1 closed because of snow on it) this was still a very enjoyable golf experience. The course had dried up very well considering all the snow that had dumped on the region less than two weeks before. The greens were fast and it was nice not to have to play out of the sand with winter rules in effect. I was only a bit jealous of my playing partner who had paid less than half of what I did, but he was smart and waited until the last day.
Crown Isle
This is one of Vancouver Islands Crown Jewels. Such a great layout and one of my favorite courses to play. If I lived closer I would be a member there.
Beautiful Course
I travel from Ontario to Vancouver Island every couple of summers, this course is always the highlight of my trip. Excellent value, beautiful layout and beautiful views of the Comox Glacier. I have been fortunate enough to play on some of the best courses this country has to offer and Crown Isle is truly one of my favourite destinations.
Beat the rain
My husband and neighbour had a good afternoon together trying to tune up their game. Managed to beat the rain storm. Lots of evergreen needles on the greens due to the windy conditions.
