Best value in Kamloops
Great view, nice consistent greens and cart service
Sad
The course is very tired and getting worse. I remember, in years past, really looking forward to playing here. No longer. It is no longer a premium course.
The staff were great. The carts were good. The practice range was very rough. Practice putting green was good. Pace of play was ok but no Marshall on course to ensure decent pace. Snacks and beverage cart service was very good.
The general condition of the course was quite disappointing.
The dunes is great!
I love the dunes golf course it's only 5 mins from my house and I personally think it's nicer then most courses in town. Great staff, course is always in mint condition and it's the cheapest 18 hole course in town. Love the DUNES!
Challenging But Fun
Nice open course that requires all the clubs in your bag. Very challenging but fair considering it is a very bumpy layout.
Everyone should try it.
great course
The Dunes is the best value in the Kamloops area. The course was in excellent condition from tee-boxes to greens. For $45 plus cart fees it's hard to beat. Good variety of holes with a what you see what you get sort of layout. The dunes (mounds off the fairway) penalize for errant shots, but the fairways are generally fairly wide. Some really touch holes, like the 560 yard par 5 7th on the front and a couple of 400+ par fours, but others that are relatively short but reward good shot making. Greens were excellent shape, fast but not scary.
Fairly challenging links course - very good value.
Friendly.
Excellent value, very good course
The "dunes" on the course provide tough challenges when you stray; very "links-like" feel to the course.
Nice playability for all golfers.
Great service from all staff; overall, a very pleasant day of golf.
Course is in great shape
Always enjoy this course, it is challenging, it is a long course especially between holes but still walkable.
Good game
A very relaxing game with challenged just off of the fairways
Long par fives force you to use every club in ur bag
Easy to have a good game
One small drawback is the mosquitos that attack along the river holes
Still a good game
Favourite course
easy course from the white, very challenging from the blues. balls are generally easy to find and not too busy weekdays. Beer is the least expensive of any restaurant in Kamloops.
The Dunes is one of my favourite courses and I always enjoy playing there. The one average score I gave above is simply because it’s early in the year and the course is still greening up. Once the temperatures have warmed up, the fairways are growing and the bunkers conditioned I know the course will be in its usual great shape.
Nice day for golf
Good walking course, with slight ups and downs. The course is in good condition for early spring and the greens are quick and in nice shape.
Good value
The greens are VERY fast .... for April, the course is in EXCELLENT condition!!
Great course, slow play
Very enjoyable sunny (but cold) day with pleasant playing companions. We were stuck behind some two-somes and a very slow foursome of non or beginner golfers though. The pro shop should always combine groups of two into four, encourage beginners to play from the forward tees, and have course marshals out there to encourage a decent pace of play. We were finally able to play through the beginner group on the back nine, who reluctantly let us through on the 12th.
