Great course!
Golfed this course for the first time and it was great! Lots of rolling hills, huge sand traps to test you're abilities and rolling, undulating greens. I'm a 25 HC, and managed 110. Not great for the score, but what fun. Good walking course. Will do it again.
Beautiful coure
The course is beautiful and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. There are many hills and dunes and it is challenging and sometimes difficult to judge distance. Despite lack of trees, it is easy to lose balls. My only complaint as there were water stations and the only place to get drinks or food was at the clubhouse. It was a hot day and we ran out of water and it would have been nice if there were water fill stations along the way. If there were any, we missed them.
Nice, dunes style course
The course is in spectacular condition. Greens roll fairly straight so don't over read your putts. Bunkers have excellent sand, you get that nice explosion as you take your swing. Fairways are cut with visual appeal and are soft for easy divot taking.
Good conditions and easy course for the walker
Fun course to play, but can be very challenging even with a moderate wind.
A good day
Was a good day,a little thunder but no lightening ,a little wind so it wasn't hot, best thing ......no mosquitoes!! Cart girl was coming offen. ,not too many on the course I guess. Will be back ,more than once more too.On the 18th fairway just after teeing we encountered 2 deer crossing the fairway ,that's great .p
great round
dunes is a fun course, wide fairways, great for novices such as myself. Highly recommended.
a links course
this is a links course with undulating fairways - beautiful
setting
Good golf test and walkable
I enjoyed the course and the greens were great. Staff was very friendly and food was awesome. Easily walkable which you can't do on many courses anymore. It's a good test without being stupid.
Great deal
The dunes has enough challenge for any golfer. Great condition for a great price. Well worth a visit
Pace of Play
Although we played as a twosome there was a group of 5! ahead of us that clearly did NOT adhere to the courtesy of golf play, taking their time and not waving us through even though there were at least two open holes ahead of them. We passed through skipping a hole as did the twosome behind us. Where are the marshals on a busy Sunday afternoon? FYI we were finishing the 8th hole and they were just approaching #6.
This is not the first time we have experienced the issue with "hacker" golfers on this course.
First day of summer
Course is in great shape but pace of play was extremely slow. Busy Saturday afternoon granted but almost 5 hours is absurd.
Dunes Golf Day
Played the Dunes for the first time. Course was in pristine condition. Very pleasant day for golf, weather was perfect, not too cold or too hot. The Dunes style course is quite challenging to play. You have to take shots on all kinds of different lies. Not too much water but there are some very large sand bunkers to be aware of.
Great Golf Course
Course was in excellent shape. Greens were running true and smooth! Staff were friendly and helpfull. I forgot my putter at the Coast and they were more than happy to give me a loaner. Great over all experience.
Great course, terrible customer service
An absolute pristine course that I've had the pleasure of playing multiple times. Unfortunately each time was accompanied with terrible, unaccomidating service from the proshop. A "I'm too good to serve you" attitude was prevelant. I will be taking my business elsewhere like Tobiano where the course is much better and the staff are amazing.
great time... course in good shape
great course, good staff.. the weather was in good for Oct. so we really enjoyed the day
Not overly impressed with the course.
A first time player on this course will find it lacking in information. Poor (non-existant) maps of the holes at the tee boxes led to several unpleasant surprises. Far too many OB sections throughout the property. (Did they run out of red paint?) All stakes were painted white - no reds, no yellows. It has been 10 years since I played here and will likely wait at least that long before considering a return.
Great setting, well-maintained course.
Mounding produces some challenging fairway lies, even after well struck drives. Can seem unfair at times, but there you go. Rough has been cut down in many spots, at times leaving one with the feeling of having been inadequately punished. Nevertheless, this is a pleasant course with a number of very interesting holes. An excellent walking course.
This course has bunkers, water, and long wheat grass, not many trees or bush.
Wide open but very challenging, with many hazards.
Great track
Have played here many times. Greens had been recently aerated and were a little shaggy compared to how they usually are. Still great though.
