Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

The course was really fun and challenging.

I would definitely take a power cart net time .

I thought it was good value .

There were a lot of heavy hitters so a lot of fores going on …. Like every hole .

That was a little scary . However I had a great round and would play again soon.

Fun

It's got a little bit of everything. Elevated tee shots, elevated greens, plateaud greens. Pace of play can be very slow, the greens and course conditions have improved over the last couple years that I've been playing it. Has a green that is maybe 300 square feet, and another that is over 1000. Strike the ball well you will have fun, don't and you should have a few extra balls in your bag

Beautiful day

The day was perfect. Greens a little dry and some inconsiderates not fixing the ball marks. Other than that the course played well. Attentive course officials and drink cart. It was a warm one.

Good enough for close to home

Guilford Golf club is easily accessible, has a good layout, some nice challenges, ever changing pin locations, and most of the time tee-offs are on schedule.

For $70+, I am disappointed that most tee boxes are lumpy, strangely uneven, and some are hard as a rock to get your tee in. Like most weekends, pace of play is slow, too slow and the Marshall doesn’t seem to push those super slow groups to move along.

Overall, I enjoy coming here, but I wish the tee box conditions and pace of play were better controlled.

Overrated

The greens and tee boxes were in great shape, and that's the only nice thing I have to say about course conditions. The fairways feel like bumpy clay and the rough is mostly weeds growing out of some sort of hard packed desert soil. Did not make for an enjoyable round.

Walked

extremely slow

There happened to be a tournament earlier in the day before we teed off. All the groups around us teed off 30 mins after our scheduled time. We played for over 5 hours and only got 14 holes.
