Guildford Golf and Country Club
About
Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

excellent staff and course
I hadnt played here in 3 months, but it was still the same great pace of play and efficient friendly staff. Love the iconic 16th
Some of the Greens are challenging
Nice course and worth the money. More importantly the course is great for amateurs to improve skills.
Great golf course. Early AM good pace.
Thanks to the hardworking skillful greenskeeprs and all the staff that keep this course in fine shape. Every time in 2019 and 2020 the course has been really decent. I look forward to playing here again very soon.
Guildford Golf Course
This golf course was in good shape, good drainage, not muddy at all !
Good value for the money !
I would play here again in near future .
Great public course
Guildford is a great public course. It is also really good value.
Nice course, pace slow
Pro shop was friendly and courteous. Course was playing well. Challenging uphill par 5’s. Tricky par 3’s. With the par 4’s, a little knowledge of the course is a must to do well. Fairways are very forgiving. When the greens get dry they can be a challenge. Great course for all levels. Unfortunately on this day, the starting groups set the pace and it turned out to be a 5 hour round. No Marshall we saw to help pace of play, but the concession stand halfway was a blessing.
Good course for the time
Played pretty fast for the first few holes. Greens were in great shape. Would play again.
Pace of play, yikes
The course is in fine condition considering the price range, $45. The layout is good, with some challenging holes. It took 3.25 hours to get through 12 holes and the round was 5 hours total. It seemed two groups ahead was behind by at least one entire hole after seeing an empty green, them on the fairway and the group ahead of us waiting to tee off. A Marshall would of been nice as the round was simply too long and didn’t need to be.
Cheap round, but you get what you pay for
Golfing in the time of covid. So there are all the usual things to deal with which is fine.
No driving range, but there are nets and the putting and chipping greens are open.
Course isn’t in the best shape. The tee off boxes are not flat at all. The grass is in terrible shape, and it’s hard to find a place where you can tee off comfortably
Greens are in ok shape. Rolled evenly, not too many dead spots. A lot of in repaired ball marks.
Fairways are in good shape. Grass is well maintained and manicured.
Power lines are in play for a lot of holes.
I paid 55$ for a Saturday prime time round. That’s a very fair price for the kind of course this is.
Great staff
Manager Samantha is the BEST!!!!
always happy, and remembers your name....
Great value
Play was a little slow, but the course is in great condition. Thought it was great value for what you get.
Good- but
Like many golf courses. this course has now started to take advantage of golfers who need a golf cart for medical reasons..
Price has DOUBLED in 1 week to $22pp because of "Covid19 single rider policy " when last year we paid $30 for 2 people ???? * By this time they also had the annual 2 for $75.00 w/cart..
Good course but plays so slow when busy
Took 4 hours, 45 minutes for our twosome to play a round because groups ahead took way too long. No course marshal out there to ensure speedy play. Also, because of COVID they added lifted cups so the ball can no longer drop into the hole. Makes the course less fun to play.
