Guildford Golf and Country Club
About
Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

Guildford golf and country club
Fair price for what you pay for however the T-boxes are in a bit of disarray( filled with weeds, uneven surface and divots are rarely filled) other than that I’d come for many more rounds.
Good value with GolfNow
Good value with golf now.
Pace of play was slow: the marshall was on course and did try to move things along. Unfortunately, it didn't occur till about the 7th hole.
Good value with GolfNow
I found the value good with golf now.
I have found and continue this course difficult to navigate for certain certain holes.
I think pace of play would be better with a marshall.
Not going in for dinner, etc., I can't rate
Golf Course Staff Condone Six Hours to Play a Round
I found the pace of play unacceptable... I had to call the pro shop on the 11th tee to ask them to send the course assistant out to try and speed up the play. He did come out but made no attempt to speed up the play..we walked off after 14 holes at a playing time of 4:40 ... when I mention thi# to the pro shop they said that they were very busy.. the put the groups out in 8 min intervals and if it takes 6 hours to pLay then so be it.
It was a complete money grab... we are losing players from this great game becuse it’s taking too long to complete a round. I will not play there again.. it ruined Fathers Day for myself and my group.
Great Course
Played here many times and will continue to play here many times in the future.
Challenging large greens and course management is a must.
Can you hit a draw.
Its a well maintained course which is always a plus, especially around the greens so no excuses when it comes to chipping. Lots of holes that are right to left so hope you can hit a draw. A number of blind tee shots too so it's a fairly challenging course. Relatively open though so recovery shots are not impossible. No driving range but practice mats with nets. Beer cart needs better selection. Get some flavored ciders lole growers or okanagan. Oh and it's a looooooong course to walk. 3 of us took 5 hours and we all shot in the 90s. But at the end of the day I would play it again and definitely recommend it. Enjoy!
New 18th hole
Course was in great condition, very peaceful and very enjoyable. Was so nice to finish our game on the new 18th hole. Had a great game. Thank you
Good value with GolfNow
I've played this course many years ago.
On some holes it is difficult to know where to aim.
It seems improvements have been made, i.e., distance to water with signs posted.
Couldn’t get a refund back
Booked a 740 am tee time the day before. When I woke up, it was pouring and when I tried to call in at a few times between 7am-715 to cancel, no one answered at the pro shop. I sent an email explaining that since no one is at the pro shop and it was raining still, they would have the course closed for our tee time. I got an email back at 830am apologizing about not picking up. That the course is open, but extremely wet. Very unhappy that they couldn’t tell me sooner, and are unwilling to get me a refund, as I had booked through golfnow. Also unhappy golfnow doesn’t have a better cancellation process due to rain.
Early in the season
It has been close to 10 years since I last played at Guildford golf course. At the moment their practice facilities were almost non existent as the practice green was very rough, and had no hitting cages available. But they are in the middle of rebuilding the practice area so once completed there will be proper warm up areas. On the course: the tee boxes I found to be uneven and rough. The greens are massive with ALOT of undulation and different (impractical) teir levels, and were aerated 2 weeks prior to my round so they were anything but rolling true at the time. The course between tee to green was in very good shape for the time of year. All in all I would play this course again. Once the course heals from the winter abuse it should play a lot better. Decent value for your golfing dollar
It was awesome to be able to play a round of golf in November.
Very happy to be able to play golf in November. Did not realize we paid $4.98 for convenience fee to Golf Now. No value for the same money at the golf course. Course was wet but in great condition.
This course is in outstanding shape
This October has been so beautiful, so decided to book a tee time, looked on GolfNow and found this amazing deal.thank you for making this opportunity available for us. Beautiful couse
great course
I've been playing golf for about 25 years
Guildford was one of those i drove by and said na power lines don't impress me a buddy convinced about a year ago to play and now I love it
Good mix of holes. and with the golf now app fantastic value
Course condition is okay
Average course. Pace play was okay. Few bare spots on the fairways. Greens are slow but well maintained. Would play here again.
Great value -slow pace
We play here a lot. Course is in great conditions considering the hot dry weather this summer. Great value, however lately a lot of beginner golfers thinking they can play from the blue and with little knowledge of the rules and etiquette.
This beginning to turn some golf off, including me and my friends.
The Marshall is trying to speed up the pace but back to the re-hits and drinking as soon as he drives away.
Hopefully this will improve.
Good layout in poor shape
I liked this course but it is in rough shape. Fairways are closer to first cut rough than mown fairways. Greens are pockmarked. But the layout is lovely and the holes are challenging but fair. But there is a lot of water to contend with. Course management comes into play here.
Spartan services. No starter or cart seller. No one takes your clubs. Not even a bag stand outside the pro shop. And don’t expect to grab a sandwich at the turn as 9 and 10 are nowhere near the club house.
I liked it but it’s closer to a municipal type course. Not crowded when I played which was nice.
The course can't give you a refund because they don't get the money golfnow does. Call GNow and explain the situation. I've always found them to be helpful and fair. They can confirm your complaint by contacting the proshop. Ask if they can give you a promo code to use next time.
