About
Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

Worth the cheap price on golf now if you want to get an extra round in during the week. Some greens were in great shape but 4-5 were borderline unplayable due to disease and dead spots. Few nice holes but having a par 5 changed to a par 3 due to construction isn't ideal. I'd play here again but I would not pay anymore than 20. Too many nicer places within 15 minutes of this course.

I asked at the pro shop if there was anything to know prior to getting out. Young man said no, course is good.

1 hour wait to start (after tee time wasn't honored)

Very poor condition. Ground keepers didn't stop when shooting just keep running there equipment.

I have played here in the past and was so hopeful that things had changed but that is not the case. The course was in terrible condition. The greens are full of winter kill or whatever it is making them almost like temp greens. The course is full of mud and muck, I found myself sinking up to my ankles just off the fairway. I really like the layout of the course and the proximity to my home but you could not pay me to play here again.

Proshop was friendly and accommodating, greens are coming along. Fairways still need time to dry. Worth the price!
Best value in Surrey
$10 for 18 holes! On a Saturday morning! By far the best deal in Surrey and all of the Fraser Valley/ Lower Mainland. Only con is the power lines overhead. Other than this the layouts nice and open, cultured/manicured, and suburban, similar to Morgan Creek. Except the environments a lot more blue collar and it runs you only $10 instead of $100
I booked the game and went inside the clubhouse to check in there were two staff employees behind the counter neither one told me about fairway closures where the temporary tees. Poor customer service!

Good course / test for the average golfer. Decent greens but damaged and succumbed to numerous pitch marks. First two holes are the hardest. No dress code or driving range. Tee boxes are average at best and one will here "fore' often. The 14th is a brutal design for both the beginner and advanced golfer. The tee should be moved up, made into a par 4 and most importantly they should cut down two trees right in the middle of the fairway / green which punish good shots. The rough is often left to grow, with visible weeds and grass clumps / clippings everywhere. Last 4 holes are aesthetically good and overall an easily walk able course.
Convenient location
Staff is friendly, quality of food and beverage needs improvement. No warned Fountains and/or coolers, you need to pack your own water for the round. Sand Bunkers need improvement, and need more sand than gravel,

Sunny afternoon at Guildford Golf course
We played as a twosome on this good size 18 hole layout. There are some interesting and picturesque holes that make playing here a pleasant experience.
The greens had been punched recently so they were a little rough but otherwise I would definitely recommend it and green fees are good value.
Very slow pace of play!
I played at 7:15am and almost had to wait on every hole. Horrible pace of play. It took over 5 hrs to finish the round.
They don't leave enough time between groups.
Other than that, it's a decent course.
Great deals on golfnow! For $15, I would play it again.

Overall course is very nice. Have a hard time reading greens . Speed and consistency of many greens are different. Only negative side. Thx. Carey.
Fun, interesting layout
First time playing here although have lived in the area all my life. My wife and I were teamed up with a couple of local guys who knew the course well. This obviously helped as a few holes have a tricky layout if you don't know where you are going. Will definitely play here again.
Possible improvements
Better yards marking especially. To Creek locations
Cut down a few over grown trees surrounding the creek which make it hard for a good golfer to take advantage of the fairways.
Tee boxes need to be flat and manicured
